The yellowhammer documents are outlining a possible worst case scenario in the event of a no deal Brexit.
It has to be thought of beforehand in order to mitigate it.
It’s about the first few months after we leave, not forever, and may never happen anyway.
Some fresh foods could be affected, not all, as many people seem to think.Adjust your thinking in blaming any voter who voted to leave the EU and put the blame where it really belongs,those remain voting MP’s who can’t let go of the EU and think it doesn’t matter what the voting public think and those ultra Brexiters who refused to back T May’s deal.
Those same MP’s may now vote for a deal that Johnson can tweak ( with any luck.)

It’s already started. The Tories saying that, that document was published 6 weeks ago and the new document they will publish shortly will give a different scenario. Do they really expect us to believe that things will change that dramatically in a couple of months. We all need to get our heads out of the sand and realise that for years and years we have been lied to and lied to by the MSM about Europe. Stop reading the likes of the Mail, Sun etc and in my opinion listening to the BBC whose only agenda is to keep the Tories in power and start listening to whole speeches people make instead of getting snippets which do not show the whole truth.

Anyone else seen that some 60 NDAs have been slapped across the pharmaceutical industry to prevent anyone talking about the lengths they will need to go to to keep supplies going.

It may not help your own family but there's a chance you could influence others. Might even persuade some to vote against the madness of brexit if there is a second referendum.
If a miracle happens and we stay in, things might look better for you and for all of us.

Her company have so far moved one area to Southern Ireland, another to just outside of Paris another to Holland and she doesn’t know where her area is going.

I’m sorry you have been so badly ‘punished’ for your vote, Dilly. I also think that it is very brave and honest of you to say so on here - particularly today, now the full implications are known, and people are angry.

I really hope that a miracle will happen and Brexit is called off. If it does, I also hope that your children will come home, or at least that your family can be on the same terms as before.

Just one point Whitewave. Farage doesn't have a "business background". He was a trader on the London Metal Exchange, who bought and sold commodities. He never had any actual experience of physical products, such as manufacture, logistics, marketing, etc.

I am beyond angry. I am supposed to be doing polite canvassing for the second referendum this weekend, on a non political non judgemental way but I suspect I may find it very hard if I have to listen to some fool dismissing Yellowhammer as Project Fear.

I voted brexit, not being at all a political person. First time I've voted in goodness knows how long. I have come to regret it. Son and dil emigrate to N.Z at end of this month and other son, a really mummy's boy who never wanted to leave even this neighbourhood to go to europe for a holiday is now leaving to Canada. Both sons and their partners livelihoods were directly effected by Brexit and they have had to move to ensure they have work in their fields as businesses are moving abroad. I didn't vote for that, tbh I didn't really understand the implications of what I voted for. Torn up inside. It's caused a silent chasm in the family as it's hard to admit, to both myself and DH that we were wrong, it's the elephant in the room that Brexit is the reason they no longer can viably live in the U.K and that their parents voted for it. Anyone else in this boat? I hope not. I feel so very small.

The most rabid GN Brexetiers and Tory party supporters seem to have disappeared from the forum on the release of so much information in the last few days detrimental to the leave rationale.

I have always held respect for a person (or group of persons) who are prepared to stand up for their beliefs under difficult circumstances.

However, i (and i am sure many more on this forum) have absolutely no respect whatsoever when anyone just abandons what they perpetuate as an absolute firm conviction and just "disappears down a rabbit hole" in the face of contradiction to that so-called absolute firm belief.

In the above anyone has to wonder do such persons really hold such convictions, or are they just trying to cause controversial argument for the sake of.?

Just depressed myself by reading the comments section under Operation Yellow hammer report on Mail Online. Lots of 'project fear' ",rubbish" "produced by remainer civil service". There is none so blind as he who will not see. Lots of nasty comments about the decision today being made by the Scottish Courts and not the ENGLISH ones (their capitals not mine).

The Tories have the nerve to say that they are standing up for the people.

Who are they kidding, when they are willing to inflict such damage, particularly on the poor, sick etc.

I've just heard a posh young man arguing with James O'Brien about leaving without a deal. He claimed that there were 40 countries in the EU - yet another example of how little Brexiters know/understand.
