I suspected you might say something like that - see my previous post.

lemongrove Thu 12-Sept-19 22:28:02

I could say much the same of your comments SirC as they become more and more sarky as the night goes on, but still it fills the box for you doesn’t it.?

SirChenjin Thu 12-Sept-19 22:20:23

I know you think posters should calm down - you’ve repeated that (or similar) ad nauseam. I suppose it fills the box with words without having to write anything more meaningful or insightful

lemongrove Thu 12-Sept-19 22:15:17

Didn’t even notice your post Gill57 so no ruffled feathers from me at any rate.
I think posters should all calm down.

GillT57 Thu 12-Sept-19 22:10:20

You will excuse me if I am just a bit irritated by those brexiteers still clinging on to their vague hopes of nirvana and spouting ever more desperate reasons to blame anyone but the rogues who lied to them. I have had to put up with over three years of being accused of peddling Project Fear, being over dramatic, being a fatalist, a traitor, lacking in patriotism, a marxist etc etc so excuse me if I am not feeling too sorry if a couple of GN members have their feathers ruffled when I said that racism was grounds for some (not all) Brexit votes.

I'm not hot nor bothered.

I'm waiting for Johnson's deal (I believe Merkel is too).

SirChenjin Thu 12-Sept-19 21:52:58

How can there be a no deal?

In the same way that we wouldn’t have believed that a Govt would be capable of what we’ve witnessed over the last few weeks and are still witnessing. I’m surprised that you don’t think that this Govt intended to leave without a deal.

lemongrove Thu 12-Sept-19 21:48:41

If there isn’t going to be a no deal scenario ( and how can there be now?) why are so many Remainers getting so hot and bothered.
Could it be that they can’t accept leaving the EU at all....even with a deal, I wonder.

jura2 Thu 12-Sept-19 21:46:34

Do what to us? We are doing it, not them.

It's a Club- either you are a member, or not. Simples.

Labaik Thu 12-Sept-19 21:45:42

Thank goodness I'm going away for a few weeks and can't access this forum....angry….

quizqueen Thu 12-Sept-19 21:43:43

Cameron said if we voted to leave, it would lead to WW3. I'm still waiting.

If our 'friends' over the channel do any of this to us, then the best thing we ever decided to do is separate ourselves from them.

Labaik Thu 12-Sept-19 21:39:20

The people who pushed for Brexit in the first place and conned millions of people into voting leave rejected May's deal, did they not?

jura2 Thu 12-Sept-19 21:36:51

But NOW we are where we are NOW - and if you support a Government which is clearly not negotiating any deal, in any way whatsoever- and is prepared to prorogue our Sovereign Parliament, and silence our elected Members of Parliament, and crash out with No Deal- with all that we know NOW - then you are part of the decision, partly to blame and have to shoulder part of the responsibility- and moreover, suffer the consequences YOU are supporting by your current support or silence. End ... of .

Gonegirl Thu 12-Sept-19 21:36:34

PM'd you SC

SirChenjin Thu 12-Sept-19 21:35:16

No , the blame lies with the people who voted to leave whilst having no idea why they were voting for or caring what the consequences of their vote was.

lemongrove Thu 12-Sept-19 21:31:13

Labaik there is no need to blame the EU or anyone who voted to Leave! Blame the government, blame the MP’s on all sides who refused to accept T May’s deal, because that is where the blame lies.

jura2 Thu 12-Sept-19 21:30:31

I am so grateful I will be able to buy my grandson's lifesaving drugs privately where I live and take them over, somehow, to the UK- and probably the same for some family and friend's drugs too. But Isotopes- no, NOT possible.

jura2 Thu 12-Sept-19 21:29:01

Exactly- how can you not see that lemon, and others?

lemongrove Thu 12-Sept-19 21:28:55

Does anyone really think we will leave without a deal ( especially since Parliament have vetoed that outcome by forcing Johnson to ask for an extension.) I don’t think, despite his rhetoric, that Johnson ever wanted to leave without one, but hoped it would help our negotiators to get a better outcome that Parliament could accept.
Wallowing in worst case scenarios at great length doesn’t help.

Labaik Thu 12-Sept-19 21:20:51

And can you not see that, if anyone in my family needed cancer treatment I wouldn't blame the EU but the people who voted for us to be in a position of having to negotiate with the EU.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 12-Sept-19 21:20:12

It appears that the Black Swan documents are being leaked and will be for public consumption soon.

jura2 Thu 12-Sept-19 21:19:44

That makes no sense lemon. We are now talking about those leavers who voted as they were promised a great Deal- and it is indeed NOT their fault that we are in this situation.

But if, CURRENTLY and with the information we now have, including that on isotopes and medicines - people are prepared to leave WITHOUT a Deal- then they have to take part of the responsibility, for sure- and should be prioritised for the effect of consequences- as it is THEIR choice.

SirChenjin Thu 12-Sept-19 21:19:38

You dared GN to delete it Gone!! (Apologies also smile)

Gonegirl Thu 12-Sept-19 21:15:04

Sorry to be having a little convo on the side.
