I think they've gone for three months because that was stipulated in the Benn Act. I've no doubt that if we have a GE and the tories lose power then the EU would be open to a longer extension for us to sort ourselves out.

It wasn't up to 'MPs' to do that, Ug, it was up to the government. And we know what the government did... declared that only the verdict of the 17.4 million was to be considered. And drew lots of red lines...
