My eldest grandson has always loved to dance, starting along with Top of the Pops on TV as a toddler. When I took him to soccer classes all he did was dance between turns at kicking the ball. He is now in his third year at Bird College hoping for a dancing career on the stage and loving it! I hope he succeeds.

Some good news for a change. Canada's National Ballet school has more male dancers than female in its graduating class. Here is an article.

In a culture where boys play hockey and girls dance, it is heartening to hear that we have 16 males and 11 female graduates this year. The article goes on to say how the movie Billy Elliot helped to remove the stigma for young men in dance. Good for them.
