I see Mark Fields (Con) has resigned and his words resonate with me too.
He wrote that his usual “pragmatic, co-operative approach” had been “tested to destruction in the fractious, febrile and deeply divisive aftermath” of the Brexit vote.
It's unbelievable that after all the talk they will devote just one day now to make a decision which will affect millions of people for a very long time. Will an extension be forced upon them and will Johnson end up in a ditch after all?
Junker made the comment that the 48% had been right. Tusk was quite emotional and more statesmanlike than Johnson in his summing up speech. The average high school orator could have done better and what is this pointing the finger and looking at the cameras all about? He looked a fool on the world's stage once again.
