That is exactly how it is Urmstongran. I just wish the Parliamentary Remainers' could see it. It is as if they have been radicalised by EU.

I clearly recall Tusk stating the UK had 'shot itself in the foot by voting to leave and it was the job of EU to shoot it in the other foot'.

I also recall the comment Jabberwock about the special place in hell for Brexiteers and other generic comments made by Macron about the EU must make sure the UK is punished for daring to leave the EU. That we must be given such a bad deal no other country would ever want to leave; hence May's deal.

And yes MaizeD it is an awful poster. The person who designed this needs to stop and think about the troops on both sides who showed each other compassion when coming upon an injured person whatever their nationality. This sort of s**t does not put the leave voters in a very good light (including myself). Whatever happened to decency and kindness?

Well I happen to agree with Boris on that jura it IS a Surrender Bill. It ties our hands big style. Who on earth negotiates anything without being able to walk away if the other side are being difficult? ... and we know what they think of it. They see it as coming from us, the British people- and it really, truly, does not help. And there you go again, calling it the 'surrender' bill- with all the overtones it implies.

I certainly don’t agree with that poster either MaizieD as actually I like Angela Merkel. I think she is good at finding a compromise if she can. I think she seems a compassionate person.

Whilst we are all busy 'Boris' bashing, I would like to hear who people think could genuinely get us out of this mess. Jeremy Corbyn. really? Parliament as a whole are a bloody disgrace and this country should be ashamed of voting any of them in. I voted leave; if there were to be another referendum (making a total mockery of our democratic system), I honestly wouldn't know how to vote.

Mrs Merkel has seen it- all the Germans have seen it- all the EU have seen it, all the world has seen it.

Yes Petra. Thank heavens for our democracy and our representatives in parliament. Without the the strength they have shown half the country could have gone completely unrepresented as far as many are on here and in the Brexit cohort generally are concerned.

BBC Breakfast this morning - breaking news. Parliament is to meet on Saturday 19th October to discuss Johnson's deal. If that is rejected they will then have another vote to include whether to leave with no deal or to cancel Brexit. This apparently was from Laura Kuenessberg. A little glimmer of hope?

It would never happen. Commissioners have to be approved by the parliament. Those pesky democratic representatives have already blocked two nominations for the new Commission.

Wasn't it the EU who suggested that the UK deserved to be punished to daring to try to leave? A special place in hell was waiting for brexiteers?! Surely if a Treaty contains a 'get out clause', the signatories to that Treaty must expect that maybe one day someone (country) may decide to use it, and not be too surprised, or in this case, angry if and when they do?!

I wonder if the polls would be different if somebody like Starmer were Labour leader.
I personally don't think the problem is the leader of the LP. There is obviously a reasonable percentage that wants the party this leader is giving them.

I don't know anything really about Starmer's political views except that he is fighting to stay in the EU. I believe he is an honest man who is judicious in his speech.

As I have said before, I don't the LP is missing a leader I think the country is missing a party (and PR).

And on a smaller, more personal scale, a couple of years ago I never would have envisaged that ostensibly pleasant, sensible mature women would be so blinkered and selfish, disregarding all reasonable advice and embracing such deviousness and dishonesty.
