Thinking about the 50p coins which have been minted and are not now being used, what else can you list that was 'definite' and how long did it last before being pulled?

I'll start with an easy one: SJ said there would definitely be a budget in November and then, less than 24 hours later, said there wouldn't.

It seems there are no consequences to lying or illegality even, so BJ can get away with anything.

We will leave the EU on 31st October do or die

Interpretation-

"I can say what ever I like and lie and lie and lie.

I know I'm lying, you know I'm lying, but what are you going to do about it????

I can lie as much as I like and get away with it just like Donald Trump"

"We must deliver on the democratic vote to leave. We must respect the will of the people."

We have not seen the "strong and stable" government we were promised, nor have we seen democracy in action. To ignore the 48% who voted to remain can hardly be seen as democratic. Also, since when do civilized, democratic societies embrace lies, and more lies?

Little tin soldier Mark Francois said

“The country will explode on the 31st, if we don’t leave”

Anyone aware of any major rebellions being planned?

I'll lie down in front of the bulldozers. OK they haven't agreed to extend yet (I think) but I doubt he would do so.

I'm loving the way you are all responding.

If you find any, let me know MawB - DGS would be delighted especially if they are dated 31st October 2019!

The Royal Mint should release the 50p 31st Oct Brexit coins - they will become collectors' pieces and increase in value, a monument to hubris.

(Sorry for the shower of posts - I'll shut up now! blush)

Amagran Sat 26-Oct-19 12:47:39

Juncker, at Cameron's request, keeping quiet about BJ 'lies and bull****' during the referendum campaign, now regretting and spilling the beans.

Amagran Sat 26-Oct-19 12:38:24

BJ backing Remain and then going hell-for-leather for Brexit.

Has he ever actually explained what brought about this massive U-turn? After all, it couldn't possibly just be pure personal political ambition..... could it...…?

MawB Sat 26-Oct-19 12:34:49

Special 50p coins being minted to commemorate leaving EU on October 31st. Holding back now as date uncertain

I’ll take them off their hands if necessary gringrin

I hope that JRM and others find themselves in the sh**.

Pantglas2 Sat 26-Oct-19 12:25:31

How about Corbin calling for an election all year and then insisting on a precondition.....

Yehbutnobut Sat 26-Oct-19 12:22:13

Of course the likes of JRM and others with savings tucked away in tax havens must get Brexit done by December 31st 2019 because of the Tax Avoidance Laws that come in on January 1st.
