Considering voting Labour?

After listening to Keir - I nearly fell off my chair when OH declared he would seriously vote for Labour if he was voting in a Constituency where they would have a chance. As it is- Lib Dem is the only possible tactical choice we have.

I don't know where the piece you screenshotted came from, GG13 but it is incoherent. The words as put together make no sense whatsoever.

Regarding the so called gift tax, I agree that as explained it seems particularly penalising and difficult/impossible to collect.

However, I shall wait to see what and how it is explained in the manifesto before outlining it on this thread and commenting further.

Not all of what a political party wants to do will necessarily fit well with me, but what I look at when deciding how to vote is the overall balance and how it sits with my world view.

Reading through this and other similar threads, I am reminded of an auntie of mine when I was a child.
After an argument with other adults about anything, she always said:

It is still the Labour Party Lumarei and I really do have trouble with the childishness of name-calling when it comes to someone purporting to want an adult discussion.

I assume you were a member of the Labour Party and are now feeling disaffected with them. I'm not sure what they could do to please you. They have voted for the same person, isn't it twice, and it seems he is what the membership want.

Is it a bad thing to be a "radical"? After all, Margaret Thatcher, whom many seem to hold in high esteem, was certainly one. As it seems to me, have been all the conservative leaders since her to some degree or other.

Where, oh where, is there any proof that the Labour Party want Communism. On the left/right political spectrum I can give you more examples that show the Conservative Party moving to the far right than I have ever seen of the Labour Party moving towards Communism. Think of those poor One Nation Tories who were kicked out of the party. Look at how many Tory MPs are not going to stand again because the party has left them and what they have always believed in.

We are back to rather puerile when you say you will not talk to me because of the leader of a party I have no say over and to which I do not belong. So perhaps the only thing to say is "goodbye".

GracesGran - Most main parties over the last 30 years have been centre left or centre right. This Corbyn party is no longer centre but far left and the far left want communism .

Once the Labour Party elect a reasonable and moderate labour leader then we can talk. No way is Corbyn anything else but radical.

I'm afraid, of the leadership of the Conservative Party there are many who lie and you only have to look back at what has been said on here to understand how far from actual truths there supporters are prepared to go.

As far as I can see not once has anyone come back with a quote or other reference. Conservatives in large number don't even understand what "truth" is in my experience. However, I would love you to prove me wrong and offer some of the proofs that have been asked for on here today.

Skills minister Anne Milton said she was “pleased” that starts overall have risen by seven per cent between the first three-quarters of 2017-18, and the same period in 2018-19.

However, that rise is thanks to 82 per cent more people aged 25 and overdoing higher-level apprenticeships at levels 4 and above, according to FE Week analysis.

Meanwhile, starts at level 2 have plummeted by 51 per cent and starts by 16- to 18-year-olds have dropped by 23 per cent since the year before the apprenticeship reforms were introduced in May 2017.

Labour is not a party that encourages people to be aspirational, it is the party of "envy taxes".......ironical really when there are as many "rich elite" in The Labour Party.

What trash. Labour and the particularly the Trades Unions have educated so many people to achieve the best they could be. Why should the poor pay a greater percentage of their income that the excessively rich? All they are asking is that everyone pays their due before taking all the country can give them. It is not about the "rich elite" as you choose to call them, it's about the hoarding of excessive wealth by evading and avoiding paying your share.

never ever ever will I vote Tory. Boris Johnson must be the biggest lie teller ever along with Tory front benchers. He is certainly no orator and can hardly get two words out without stuttering or stumbling and repeating himself. We certainly do not need parliament run by “old Etonians” - what experience tothey have of ordinary life? The nhs needs to be protected at ALL costs from USA.
