Considering voting Tory?

If you want our NHS to be ended and replaced by a private health scheme then this is where your vote should go.

The NHS is for sale if the Tories win. You won't take it from me? Take it from former Tory Prime Minister John Major.

"The NHS would be as safe as a pet hamster in the presence of a hungry python if Boris Johnson, Michael Gove & Iain Duncan-Smith rose to power following Brexit."

Sorry GE

What's a GA?

notanan2 Tue 05-Nov-19 19:12:44

If the Lib Dems treated the GA like a GA not a Brexit vote, and werent on the woke train (I am NOT a CisWoman or a non-male!) then they probably could do quite well this time round, but unfortunately...

People like that, who are not extremists of the right wing or the left wing, and who now believe (although some of them were fooled into voting leave in 2016) that the UK will always do better and be better if we remain in the UK , these people, these good patriotic people, will vote for the Liberal Democrats.

jura2 Tue 05-Nov-19 17:17:57

there is a good reason why so many of the intelligent, middle of the road, caring Tories are leaving. They can see what is happening from the inside- and they can't stand by it or allow themselves to be part responsible for the consequences.

I can't blame them - for sure.

lemongrove- how could you vote for someone who intends to make your grandchildren retire at 75 sad

lemongrove Tue 05-Nov-19 17:07:39

Sparklefizz .....yes, this sort of blanket bombing of threads with quotes from uncle tom cobbley and all has the same effect on most people, so it’s counter productive in the end.

Sparklefizz Tue 05-Nov-19 17:02:42

shock WWM2 Dozens of bullying posts from you. Are these supposed to sway people's minds? Just makes me want to do the opposite.

The economy and lies

Evolve Politics

It is truly astounding that the Tories and their media lackeys managed to convince the British public that the £900Bn National Debt was a huge concern in 2010, but now that it’s almost doubled to £1.7 Trillion under the Tories, it’s apparently no longer a problem at all.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 05-Nov-19 15:59:11

The Tories are now hard right extremists.

It is with great sadness that I am today announcing my decision to stand down as Member of Parliament for Runnymede & Weybridge at the forthcoming General Election.
My letter to the constituents I have served for 22 years:

Whitewavemark2 Tue 05-Nov-19 15:35:28

Anne Milton..

Another Tory leaving.

They simply don’t recognise what the Tory party has become.

Scary isn’t it?

Barmeyoldbat Tue 05-Nov-19 09:17:20

Read yesterday that the Government has done another turn around and is stopping a large number Drs from abroad coming into the country and working for the NHS. They had previously agreed they could come here it would help with our shortage of Drs. but now have changed heir minds. Only briefly scanned the article.

"The study found 5 key welfare policies - universal credit rollout, increases in benefit sanctions, the bedroom tax, benefits freeze and the withdrawal of disability benefits – had “sizeable and significant effects” in pushing up demand for food parcels"

MATHS TEST:
If David Cameron's manifesto promised 200000 starter homes and none of 200,000 are built...
And Boris Johnson's manifesto promises 40 hospitals will be built...
How long should it take you to stop trusting Tory promises?

lemongrove Tue 05-Nov-19 09:05:20

Well said notanan2 ??????

There have been many ‘Winter Crises’ in our hospitals over a great many years owing to an ageing population mainly.
Hospitals do what they can to cope with this due to good planning whichever political party is in power.

@vicderbyshire
A government plan to create 200,000 new homes for first-time buyers has resulted in no homes being built - so says the National Audit Office.

Baroness Warsi has him in her sights, maintaining that he is lying (more lies, do they ever stop?) about anti-semitism and Labour, also that his rhetoric is anti-Islamic.

Good morning
@michaelgove
how are you?

I hear you may be facing questioning from the police about funds that were "resting in your account."

I truly hope that you will be able to stand up in court and prove that these calumnies are mere falsehoods.

Thoughts are with you.

Ken Loach. Good chap I always think. He did us proud in the olympics

This is how the gig economy has always worked.

One would hope that we had moved on.
