Bias in the BBC?

I remember thinking that Laura Kuenssberg was quite vicious to and about Theresa May, back in the day, but OMG she positively fawns on Boris.
I have never before in my life been aware of such obvious political bias both for Boris and against JC.
I can cope with overt bias e.g. DT because I know where they are coming from but in my innocence had believed the BBC would be even-handed. sad

Yehbutnobut I called the BBC earlier this week 're Politics Live. I have never don this before. To be honest they are so much in the pro Tory rut that I doublethink they can get out.

One thing the could do is to go in after Mr Johnson has visited a hospital, etc., and ask them what they really think.

I have no doubt that the BBC is biased in favour of the Cons.

If they lied to Labour about Johnson being interviewed I think they should hold the interview anyway without him. Just get someone to fact check what he has said.

Callistemon agreed!
I think some posters, having looked at the polls, have decided to get their excuses in early about a possible big defeat for the LP....e.g it’s all the fault of the BBC! And.....this election is close to illegitimate, blah blah.
No it isn’t... it’s that not enough people are taken in by Corbyn and his policies if they lose.

Ybnb

But I didn't say that did I.

I queried if the BBC is becoming like Gransnet.

The same thing being repeated on thread after thread, whitewave!
Open a new thread to find something new or interesting and at the moment it's the same every day (like the BBC apparently).

Gransnet Day

Oh has the BBC has yesterday’s news on before Callistemon ...no, don’t think so. I listen very carefully.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 28-Nov-19 10:32:17

What Callistemon?

Whitewavemark2 Thu 28-Nov-19 10:31:48

The BBC have never ever made so many mistakes as they have done lately.

What is astounding though is that they are all in the Tories favour.

Callistemon Thu 28-Nov-19 10:31:24

Is it Groundhog Day?

Like every day on Gransnet recently.

Yehbutnobut Thu 28-Nov-19 10:29:31

I’ve just checked and it has been updated to today’s news. I had to call the BBC about this at 7.00am and I gather I’m not the only one who noticed. Will there be an apology perhaps?

Twitter is buzzing with annoyance at the BBC bias. It is no longer covert. They no longer care.

This election is close to becoming illegitimate.

Kuenssberg tweeted “every journalist pummel Corbyn”

She has since deleted it but I saw it along with many others.

Rough tweet count from @bbclaurak over last 7 days:

Tory Islamophobia 1
Westminster sexual harassment 1
Party donations 3
Lib Dem campaign 5
TV debates 7
Tory campaign 24
Labour campaign 29
Labour antisemitism 37

Every morning I listen to a quick news briefing on Alexa...from the BBC.

Today it is an exact repeat of yesterday’s news. Even down to the story of bullying in the beauty industry. Not just similar stories but an exact repeat. Either someone has made a cock up (never happened before) or this is deliberate?

It just so happens that the lead story is Corbyn knocking ...a coincidence?

I don’t think so!
