So today Johnson refused to look at footage of a 4 year old boy being treated on the floor of a Leeds A&E, even pocketing the phone of the journalist trying to show it to him.

Where is this man’s common decency?
Where is his humanity?
When will he realise the buck stops with him ?

Ggg we're talking Piers Morgan and that Reid woman here. grin

My vocabulary might just top yours you know. Not everyone likes flashing their knowledge just to show they have it.

Hold your noses and vote tactically

GracesGranMK3 Wed 11-Dec-19 15:44:57

Like they've never said 'for fuck's sake' in their lives!

Not everyone descends to the depths Gonegirl. A sign of limited vocabulary usually.

lemongrove Wed 11-Dec-19 15:41:16

The only whiskers are on Corbyn WWM2 ....and not very attractive ones at that.?

lemongrove Wed 11-Dec-19 15:39:36

I was answering Ink in my post on hungry children.
There is poverty of course, and always will be relative poverty, but nobody can blame hungry children on anyone but the parents, either when I was a child or now.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 11-Dec-19 15:36:35

Oh yes the famous glass door?

That has whiskers on it now as it was firmly established that Corbyn was getting into a lift.

Do keep up lemon

Gonegirl Wed 11-Dec-19 15:35:45

Oh stop being so silly. You're making a fool of yourself with all these copied from the net lame posts. hmm

I don't think you can brush away poverty in the UK by saying it is worse in other countries.
Children here have to grow up along side their peers.
Who might be living a very much better lifestyle. Good food. Nice house, holidays and some tech are part of living here in the UK.

I am not saying give them luxuries but it is damaging for a child to see that "everyone else" is having a better life while they are stuck with parents who do not work, or are ill and they live on a sh*t council estate and never go on holiday.

The UK will be a better place to live when the gap between rich and poor is narrowed again.
When a child can be educated in a decent school (not an academy) and have access to books and a computer so they can do their homework and aspire to making their own life better.

It is not a consolation to a child that it is their parents fault for being "feckless".
And maybe their parents are too ill to work so maybe not "feckless"
Maybe that child has to be a carer for a parent because the Social Services don't provide anymore thanks to Tory cuts.

Also those people stuck in zero hours have it very hard.

GagaJo Wed 11-Dec-19 15:08:27

lemongrove, do you understand the difference between absolute and relative poverty?

Corbyn did it ONCE did he? When? AND if he did, they key word there would be ONCE.

As opposed to deliberate and repetitive hiding, to obscure an inadequate candidate.

lemongrove Wed 11-Dec-19 15:04:46

Well WW Corbyn hid behind a glass door from reporters once, and hid behind his female minders another time, so perhaps he and Johnson are equal now.?

lemongrove Wed 11-Dec-19 15:02:44

I have never felt proud of any politician or PM....ever.

lemongrove Wed 11-Dec-19 15:01:00

ink.....there were hungry children when I was a child, it’s to do with having feckless/idle parents.
No parents today ( counted as poor) cannot give their children basic food, and it’s a lie to say otherwise ( in the UK)
Poverty here is not poverty in third world countries.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 11-Dec-19 14:50:21

loveoc who says I’m a socialist?

inkcog Wed 11-Dec-19 14:50:02

Here's something to consider, people are dying, children are hungry in a country which could do a whole lot better. You don't need to run out of money. If the chattering classes gave the price of their skinny latte every week, things could be a whole lot better for their fellow human beings.

love0c Wed 11-Dec-19 14:47:09

Whitewavemark2 I appreciate you are very passionate about voting for Labour but one thing I really think you need to consider. Socialism does not work because eventually you always run out of money when it is someone else's you are spending.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 11-Dec-19 13:56:16

Good to see Johnson out campaigning again today

jura2 Wed 11-Dec-19 13:53:17

Nearly 90% of Facebook ads paid for by the Conservative Party in the first few days of December contained misleading claims, an investigation has found. First Draft – a non-profit organisation which works on debunking fake news – analysed every ad promoted by the UK’s three main political parties on the social media giant in the first four days of December. It found 88% of the Conservative’s Facebook campaigning pushed figures challenged by Full Fact, the UK’s leading fact-checking organisation. By comparison, First Draft said that it could not find any misleading claims in ads run by Labour on Facebook over the same period.

I've googled it,but nothing.
