I loved the message it sent to the country. We may not have the government we wanted but all those who had a re-energized belief in British politics are still there. Solidarity!

I'm aware the usual naysayers will be on here, hurling abuse. But they don't cancel out that lovely message. If anything, they make it even more important.

Anniebach Fri 03-Jan-20 21:28:59

Chewie. ? ? ?

lemongrove Fri 03-Jan-20 21:16:50

Chewbacca....ooh, you are awful, but I like you!?

Chewbacca Fri 03-Jan-20 21:13:15

Well.... we do know that Jezza has Zen like qualities and so, if it was him chanting, he could just have been realigning his chakras! grin

lemongrove Fri 03-Jan-20 21:07:36

Perhaps it was Jeremy Corbyn doing the chanting?

POGS Fri 03-Jan-20 20:51:33

Today's word is ' regression'.

Callistemon Fri 03-Jan-20 20:06:27

grin

lucywinter Fri 03-Jan-20 19:59:06

Callistemon Fri 03-Jan-20 19:57:06

Callistemon Fri 03-Jan-20 19:56:05

lucywinter Fri 03-Jan-20 19:31:16

Some professions just ain't what they used to be.

janipat Fri 03-Jan-20 19:29:55

Whatever, innit bruv.
Such an erudite comment. Well done!

lucywinter Fri 03-Jan-20 19:29:19

The title of this thread is misleading. In an 'Eats shoots and leaves' kind of way.

It needs punctuation.

Callistemon Fri 03-Jan-20 19:28:22

triumph n 'a great victory or achievement'

triumph v 'to achieve a victory, be successful'

Fat finger?
hmm

GagaJo Fri 03-Jan-20 19:27:18

Whatever, innit bruv.

janipat Fri 03-Jan-20 19:22:38

Might help Gagajo if you clarified who you're accusing of whinging ? To disagree and question is not whinging. You say Jeremy Corbyn is no longer leader of the Labour Party, so who is? Perhaps for the avoidance of doubt the chant should be changed to "oh oh oh socialist Labour" since it's the party you're affirming.

"It ísnt about him now, if you read the first post, janipat. It's about triumph even in adversity.

He's no longer the Labour leader. It's a 'We're still here' message. Nice and positive."
--

You are talking in riddles.

Corbyn is the Labour Leader.

Your posts have been all about the feted Corbyn.

What ' triumph over adversity'?

POGS Fri 03-Jan-20 18:09:19

It appears when all else fails and you can't accept the truth Yawn.

Sums up debate on Gransnet.

Callistemon Fri 03-Jan-20 17:53:23

whispers quietly:
I thought you taught English Gagajo
or is it fat finger? I can empathise.

Callistemon Fri 03-Jan-20 17:52:18

I'm starting another one:

"Oh, Ke-e-eir Starmer" ???

Urmstongran Fri 03-Jan-20 16:53:01

Whinge.

GagaJo Fri 03-Jan-20 16:08:36

So you read a post, comment, don't understand and continue to winge. Winge away. We socialists get it.

janipat Fri 03-Jan-20 15:55:27

GagaJo I was under the impression Jeremy Corbyn was still leader of the Labour Party, if not who is the new leader? And if he's not that makes this hero worship even weirder. Why chant his name and not the new leader's name? That would surely undermine the new leader.

Anniebach Fri 03-Jan-20 15:42:51

If it isn’t about him why chant his name , most odd

GagaJo Fri 03-Jan-20 15:37:25

It ísnt about him now, if you read the first post, janipat. It's about triumph even in adversity.

He's no longer the Labour leader. It's a 'We're still here' message. Nice and positive.
