My experience with BT over the years has not been good so, for me, it has a lot to improve.

Yes recently I've spoken to very helpful people in call centre apparently in Northern Ireland.
When setting up new BT account when we moved house a few years ago I had telephone contact from a very nice man in Hyderabad. He was pleasant and efficient. No complaints from me.

If it does provide jobs, I trust BT will pay its employees more than it pays those in India.

BTW I agree with annsixty. I have a phone/internet/mobile package with BT and have had reason to contact them a couple of times. I've always been put through to somebody with an English accent - and have always had excellent service. I don't know who was actually employing them.

I don't think they have used India recently I may be wrong.
They farm their call centres out to large companies in this country and some of these companies are terrible employers.

I suppose it might provide extra employment for those whose jobs are under threat post-Brexit.

Why does Brexit have anything to do with Indian call centres?

After 20y of outsourcing to India they intend to have regional call centres again for British and Irish customers.

Good news - especially post Brexit!
