Thanks for the replies - so we should get a letter about it eventually.
We don't receive pension credit.

I pay £12 something a month by d/d and it's going up by about 30p per month.

SNAP!

You're right Calendargirl. Everybody will have to pay, unless they're receiving pension credit.

Sorry, that photograph proves me wrong.

annsixty Wed 05-Feb-20 13:20:23

I think we will all have to pay, no exceptions.

The TV licence at the moment is £154 but will go up to £157 i believe
Sorry cant do links, but have taken a pic
If anyone wants more details go to TV licencing it gives all details

I thought everyone would have to pay, whether over 75 or not, unless on benefits. Perhaps the goalposts have been changed.

My Dh is 75 in April. He’s applying for approx five weeks of a free licence, just to be annoying! grin

Fennel as far as i know it is not people who are 75 already,i thik it is people who reach 75 from now
Also i see it is going up, can't remember how much i think it is by about £3 a year,

Fennel Wed 05-Feb-20 12:53:38

It looks as if we're going to have to start paying again.
Some questions:
How much is it?
Is it one per household or one each person?
How do we do it?
I'm not entering into the rights and wrongs yet.
We don't have a TV but each of us watches BBC etc on the 'puter.
Perhaps we should have a mass refusal to pay and block the prisons with OAPS!
Both of us over 75.
