I sat in St. George's Chapel last Sunday for a service and pondered the walk on her own down the aisle. The chancel is very much separated by the screen and it occurred to me that RF wouldn't even have seen her coming, so the lonely walk definitely wasn't for their benefit. I think it was more to show the guests and the rest of the world that her father had behaved badly abandoned her. It smacks of look at me I am a victim, just like in the South Africa interview.

Not sure Annie, Prince Harry did whisper his thanks to his father for clearly saving the day! Who knows. What we do know is that most people welcomed her, those crowds proved that, and wished both of them all good things. How its turned out is sad, disappointing and lets face it a waste of public funds!

Well I expect it’s reasonable to deduce from this discussion that some people in Britain had some reservations about Meghan, whilst others welcomed her with open arms.

This is just my point

It’s revisionist history Of some here to claim that everyone welcomed her, when others Even here are saying that isn’t the case.

Annie, the P of W gallantly escorted Meghan, rescuing her from her sad, lonely walk! Call me an old cynic but I'm not sure that he was supposed to do that else surely it would have been pre arranged ? I think M.M hoped to present a sad lonely figure that nobody had thought to escort (the wicked RF of course!) and that we would all be sympathtic to. P.C of course scotched that attempt at self pity! Just a thought of course!!!

First of all its different people holding differing opinions. Of which they are entitled.
The two statements aren't mutually exclusive, as she could obviously be both welcomed and a social climber.
So marmalading them together is of no use, unless you want to try build a unsustainable bias argument.

The fact that people have an opinion that she is a social climber doesn't negate her actually being one.

In any event, in my book she can socially climb all she wants, she should (well they both should) have the grace to not bite the hand that feeds them.
But I'm well aware we're past that point now.

It's still possible to welcome her with open arms and hope you are wrong Summerlove. Just as a parent would welcome their prospective son-in-law even if they are worrying that he might be a loser!

Well that depends on where you read it. Personally, I don’t believe we need to rely on others to tell us what is racist. Any prejudice based on the colour of an individual’s skin or origin is racist. Some on this forum believe any criticism of anyone of colour is racist.
