Available from next month (once old supplies have been used up!)

Firecracker123 Sat 22-Feb-20 17:30:25

Well I'd like a blue one but my passport doesn't run out until 2023 lol. Perhaps we can apply for a new one after 31st December 2020, surely we will have to after this date when we will have left the EU completely.

Callistemon Sat 22-Feb-20 17:30:46

Well, no-one can complain about her hair!!
Or her clothes.

Callistemon Sat 22-Feb-20 17:31:18

Strange, the first post didn't appear!

suziewoozie Sat 22-Feb-20 17:32:54

No we won’t Firecracker

suziewoozie Sat 22-Feb-20 17:35:04

Can I complain about her permanent self satisfied smirk? Oh and complete stupidity? TIA

Missfoodlove Sat 22-Feb-20 17:35:25

I have an Irish and British passport, I do wish the Irish one was green?

jura2 Sat 22-Feb-20 17:46:50

Oh blimey- just had a look at GN and can't believe my eyes. The country is falling apart and people rave about their future dark blue passports

made my French/Dutch company in Poland - can't make it up.

trisher Sat 22-Feb-20 17:54:25

Oh it's the passport! Thought it was Priti Patel you wanted and wondered if it was some sort of reference to immigration. shock

Kalu Sat 22-Feb-20 18:02:10

Of all the things I could feel excited about, the colour of my passport is so unimportant. I really don’t get this at all.

Parsley3 Sat 22-Feb-20 18:13:24

I thought my first passport was black not blue. I wonder if I still have it somewhere.
If I had a choice, I would really like a tartan one with my clan crest on it.?

Firecracker123 Sat 22-Feb-20 18:16:15

Well I expect the Remainers are clinging to their EU passports frightened of change how sad.

Wheniwasyourage Sat 22-Feb-20 18:16:19

I quite agree, Kalu. Parsley3, I still have our old passports and they were quite definitely BLACK.

GagaJo Sat 22-Feb-20 18:17:24

When mine runs out, I'm putting it into a maroon EU cover.

Firecracker123 Sat 22-Feb-20 18:18:40

How sad ?

jura2 Sat 22-Feb-20 18:38:44

Firecracker ''Well I expect the Remainers are clinging to their EU passports frightened of change how sad.''

oh the irony - coming from someone who dreams of getting a passport the same as one they had nearly 50 years ago- and going bak to pounds and ounces and all - sad indeed, very, for sure.

jura2 Sat 22-Feb-20 18:49:55

Although there is a massive change - the new ones will be made by a Dutch/FRench company and printed in Poland - I am sure you will appreciate and enjoy 'change'.

Urmstongran Sat 22-Feb-20 19:27:26

Hi jura2 ?
Truly, it’s lovely to see you posting again! We have disagreed in the past, occasionally (!) agreed (which surprised us both at the time) and honestly I can say I’m really happy to read your posts again! You wanted to be ‘barred’ from GN if I remember rightly?

Remainers wont get this joy at all. No worries.

But to us Leavers it signifies the clean break from the E.U.

It’s all about the ‘optics’ people!

?

vegansrock Sat 22-Feb-20 19:39:03

Old passports were black weren’t they. I’m loving my burgundy EU one and my Green Irish one....like millions of others.

Callistemon Sat 22-Feb-20 19:41:40

Did you not read my post vegans?

It was a very dark navy blue, almost black
I checked as I still have mine.

Firecracker123 Sat 22-Feb-20 20:40:00

Jura2 how bitter you sound. I'm looking forward to the future a future free of the EU I'm not frightened of change nor am I wanting to go back in time.

jura2 Sat 22-Feb-20 20:58:56

Bitter, moi? I have got 2 passports- a red shiny one too-and my British one has about 15 years to go, and has European Union on it smile

If you don't want to go back in time- was is the colour of your passport of any importance whatsoever? Just daft ...

Oh yes, I remember my first British passport well- so dark blue it was almost black.

Firecracker123 Sat 22-Feb-20 21:15:22

The main thing about the new passport is that it won't have European Union on.

Yehbutnobut Sat 22-Feb-20 21:27:43

I’m still wondering what this is supposed to mean?

jura2 Sat 22-Feb-20 22:08:43

No it won't, you are right here.

So you will have to queue for ages whilst some of us wizz through, and pay for visas, and so much more- you will love it, I'm sure.

Jura2
The country is falling apart
I would suggest that as we speak there is more chance of that prediction happening to the eu. They are tearing each other apart over the new budget.
The commission is between a rock and a hard place. The money has to be found to keep the project going so the commission has to stand firm in regards to countries stumping up more but they can't let any country off the hook or they will appear weak.
Just imagine if just one more country were to leave. That would be the end.
And you think this country is falling apart.
