Yorkshire Tea boycott

Sad really!
I enjoy Yorkshire, tea, PG Tips, Tetleys and many other teas and would not boycott.

Oh Davidhs you have just shattered my illusions. My mum and dad always told me that Yorkshire tea was grown,picked and packed in Yorkshire and all along it was just a marketing ploy. What can I believe in now? Father Christmas, the Tooth Fairy and now Yorkshire tea all just stories. But I still believe there's a Big Bad Wolf and he's living in No. 10!

I wonder what inspired ? the makers of one of my favourite coffee's to give it the name Camp?

Reporting it however adds fuel to the idiots calling for a boycott doesn’t it and keeps it in the headlines!

The media have reported what is happening, the sensationalism belongs to the morons who say they will boycott their product.

I really don't understand why anyone in any position of influence or authority takes any notice of these spiteful extremists who comment when it is clear that the majority opinion is usually not being expressed.

Laurence Fox's career seems to have been ruined when he pushed back reasonably at some live trolling and uttered opinions with which most sensible middle of the road people would agree.

Sudden and cowardly back covering on the part of authority is sometimes (but not often enough) revealed to be mistaken as when Roger Scruton was hastily sacked from a position recently. It turned out that the left wing extremist had copy/pasted and confected Scruton's opinion and an apology had to be issued.

I am a socialist and don’t think most normal left wing socialists would boycott a tea just because a Tory was seen drinking the product! I guess this has been blown up by the media for sensationalism purposes. I did however as a pro EU person personally boycott companies which ploughed money into Brexit, which is different, as this was those companies actively supporting something with which I vehemently disagreed!

Well, fancy that. I expect most people thought Yorkshire was wall-to-wall (or-moor-to-moor) tea plantations manned by good salt-of-the-earth Yorkshire people wandering amongst the rows with baskets on their backs.

This has been spoken about in the press and TV and is possibly receiving a wider audience than some think.

IF and I repeat IF because I cannot find one piece of evidence to back up the accusation but IF those on the right of politics had called for Yorkshire Tea to be boycotted because Corbyn had his picture taken with the product I would think it was utterly moronic / ridiculous and call them idiots.

I think it is utterly moronic / ridiculous on the other hand to call for a boycott of Yorkshire Tea because Rishi Sunak had his picture taken with the product.

I think it is deemed a bit of sport, a fuss about nothing, it will be yesterday's chip paper but it will have damaged / targeted a respectable company and as they say :-

I suspect that Yorkshire Tea will get the most benefit from all this publicity. Bet they're laughing their socks off - or should that be teabags?
NB As a born and bred Yorkshire woman, now living in the South, I've been drinking YT for years - did you know that they do one especially for hard water areas?

I'm quite left leaning (and I use Twitter). But as I don't like being told who and what I should boycott, and for such silly reasons, the next teabags I buy will be Yorkshire ones. FFS - when are people going to GROW UP.

I like PG Tips and dont like Yorkshire tea. I voted Tory. I'm somewhat confused!!

I'm obvious!y a bit slow and I don't do Twitter but please can somebody explain why a picture of somebody making tea (of whatever brand) is offensive to anyone?
