Does anyone know?

Quite honestly I have been shocked at the behaviour of our PM, throughout this developing crisis. He has lacked any authoritity, seems unsure of his message and always seems one step behind what is happening.

He gives bumbling mixed messages, with no clear direction. Yesterday he said keep 2 metres apart, but children can go into playgrounds, people into parks, enjoy the sunshine! He told us a few days ago he may pop in to his mother on Mothers Day!

Has everyone seen the streets in Italy and Spain? We are closely following I'm sorry to say.

Sorry, if this isn't a crisis what is?

It is the job of government to govern.

Boris is attempting not to turn a drama into a crisis, but he is going to have to be more authoritarian following yesterday's ridiculous behaviour.
Whole families taking to the countryside, including friends of mine on the at risk list with seriously ill husbands, who went out with adult children and grandchildren to local beauty spots. They were planning a walk today but fortunately have abandoned it.

Callistemon. I am fed up with it. I know all pubs in Scotland
refuse to close. I know what problems NHS England are having . I have to wait until 6.30pm every day to hear what is
happening in Wales.

Greymar Mon 23-Mar-20 08:10:44

It was included in his opening comments where he thanks people for bring careful about visiting their Mum for mothers day. I don't think it sets the right tone. I'm not interested in him and his mother or his Dad going to the pub or whatever.

People don't all live like him.. Some have no mother, mothers who are drug addicts, mothers who are abusive and neglectful.

I want facts, information , reassurance. He waffles, he blusters.

I assume he is giving his best but personally it doesn't give me hope.

Greymar Mon 23-Mar-20 08:06:18

No he wasn't answering a question. The subject was in his main speech before the questions.

Callistemon Sun 22-Mar-20 21:08:25

Anniebach Goodness only knows.

You'd think they had 50 million people in Scotland the amount of airtime Sturgeon gets.

Please, please, just broadcast her on BBC Scotland. We would prefer more Welsh news.

Thanks.

Happygirl79 Sun 22-Mar-20 20:46:28

I watched him today on BBC1 at 5
I wish he would be more assertive instead of asking or telling
He should be ordering people to do as the government say

Oopsadaisy3 Sun 22-Mar-20 20:39:57

He was answering a question about Mother’s Day!

Maybe he should have told the journalist not to ask him about twaddle.

Greymar Sun 22-Mar-20 20:22:10

Even his most ardent supporters must see that he is not a clear and authoritative speaker. He does mumble and waffle. He should stick to some very clear information. We don't need the twaddle about Mothers Day.

Oopsadaisy3 Sun 22-Mar-20 19:48:42

BJ isn’t bumbling and mumbling, I can hear him perfectly clearly and he defers to his advisors next to him to answer various questions.

Surely anyone who isn’t interested can mute the TV and put the sound back on when somebody they want to hear comes on?

Maybe they should make a Telly particularly for Paddyann that only receives messages from NS.or people with a Scottish accent, as anyone who is English really winds her up.grin

Whitewavemark2 Sun 22-Mar-20 18:32:43

This is how it is going in Wales ??

Anniebach Sun 22-Mar-20 18:30:05

Welsh politicians are only interviewed and recorded on BBC Wales

Parsley3 Sun 22-Mar-20 18:17:34

NS addressed those pubs that had not closed and was clear that they would be made to if they did not comply. How is it going in Wales? We hear nothing from Welsh politicians.

Greymar Sun 22-Mar-20 17:59:52

Oh great, a scrap about politicians, just what the doctor ordered.

I find NS delivery clear and she has notes and she has prepared. That makes me trust her.

Anniebach Sun 22-Mar-20 17:56:56

You mean like dealing with pubs in Scotland who refuse to close ? They haven’t listened to her paddyanne

eazybee Sun 22-Mar-20 17:56:28

And Nicola Sturgeon is dealing with a population of 5 million and not making a terribly good job of it.

paddyanne Sun 22-Mar-20 17:52:43

We get the chief clown mumbling and bumbling his way through these updates ,THEY only cover England and Wales ,so the same question applies Annie .Why are we seeing him?

Nicola Sturgeon is always clear and concise and has dealt with a pandemic before unlike Bojo. You'd think you might begrateful to hear someone who has experience of how these things should be dealt with .

Greeneyedgirl Sun 22-Mar-20 17:48:16

I meant Boris and co.

Anniebach Sun 22-Mar-20 17:46:28

Yes she gives information for Scotland

Greeneyedgirl Sun 22-Mar-20 17:39:12

I was very impressed with NS compared to BJ. Incidentally do they look 2 metres apart? I guess they must be confused

Greymar Sun 22-Mar-20 17:35:50

NS speaks very clearly and gives proper information.

Anniebach Sun 22-Mar-20 16:49:14

Why is Nicola Sturgon on the main news several times a day,

Is there no BBC Scotland ?

Greeneyedgirl Sun 22-Mar-20 16:48:56

Didn't he say he was hoping to make time to 'pop in' to see his mother??

Greymar Sun 22-Mar-20 16:48:05

thanks
