It’s said as a precaution, not an emergency. I hope he recovers. Who will lead?

MissAdventure Sun 05-Apr-20 23:14:45

He has looked a bit glassy eyed, I thought.

DR couldn't be in charge of the village fete tombola. ?

JenniferEccles Sun 05-Apr-20 23:10:20

Like others have said he hasn’t looked at all well lately and of course he has been working when he should have been resting.

Poor Boris. It’s lovely to see everyone on here wishing him well.

growstuff Sun 05-Apr-20 23:05:46

I thought Dominic Raab is in charge.

He looked dreadful last photo I saw. It’s impossible to know how ill he really is - I don’t think he could have done anything different to prevent this admission . From all the accounts I’ve read, the illness either progresses or it doesn’t, so hospital must be the best place for him now. He’ll be well looked after and I think MH is easily the best of a bad bunch to hold the reins at the moment.

I do hope he gets better, he has looked really unwell on the television and obviously was. I’ll pray for him tonight. Get well Boris

That is what I understood too.

The infection seems to have two stages. With most people, they get over Covid-19 in the first five to seven days. With others, it moves into a second stage if the patients own immune system has not defeated the virus in that first week it would seem.

The second stage can be then very much more dangerous. Let us all hope that Boris has not moved into that second stage.

I wish him well, as I would wish anyone well
I would hope that everyone affected by this dreadful disease will be afforded the same care as he will have

Jane10 Sun 05-Apr-20 22:32:17

I'm sure he had pretty much the best medical supervision available. He'll not have been just left EllanVannin!

EllanVannin Sun 05-Apr-20 22:28:03

He shouldn't have been left with a high temperature for days. 3 days maximum I'd have said.

Bathsheba Sun 05-Apr-20 22:25:47

This is so awful, dreadful news. He hasn’t looked well for a while and has tried to carry on when he should have been resting. Poor Boris, I really hope he’ll get through this safely - we need him now more than ever.

eazybee Sun 05-Apr-20 22:24:59

Very worrying; not surprisingly, he looked exhausted.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 05-Apr-20 22:23:14

I hope this is only precautionary, all his family must be worried. ?

willa45 Sun 05-Apr-20 22:23:02

One of my best, oldest friends hasn't been well since Monday. She had a video consult with her family doctor on Fri. morning due to very high fever for days, a bad cough and chest pain on and off since Thursday. I spoke to her yesterday and she's going for the test tomorrow. Really worried because both DH and I texted today just to see how she's doing and we haven't gotten a response from either of them.

EllanVannin Sun 05-Apr-20 22:14:38

I'd said in a post yesterday I think, that he looked quite unwell.
It's worrying at this stage.

Smileless2012 Sun 05-Apr-20 22:12:45

As others have said, he really hasn't looked well for days. Hope he recovers soon.

Jane10 Sun 05-Apr-20 22:09:53

Poor Boris. Must be serious. Nobody admitted to hospital these days unless its serious. Get well soon Boris.
What an extra responsibility for hospital staff. Best wishes to them too.

Ellianne Sun 05-Apr-20 22:08:31

Crikey poor Boris. He did look poorly. I guess he has gone to have a scan which will give an indication of the severity.
Anyone know which hospital out of interest? Tommy's on Westminster Bridge Road?

Barbs123 Sun 05-Apr-20 22:05:47

Saying a little prayer for you Boris. So hope you are well again soon

Susan55 Sun 05-Apr-20 22:01:37

Being under so much stress trying to run the country must be taking its toll on his immune system. I do hope he will be ok. He has done everything he can to sort out this chaos and in so doing has definitely earned my respect.

lavenderzen Sun 05-Apr-20 21:57:49

Dreadful news. Get well soon Boris.

vegansrock Sun 05-Apr-20 21:55:27

The country doesn’t need him but hope he recovers soon.
