Most people think Starmer is doing ok just at the moment, but there will be harder times ahead for him no doubt.

I'm enjoying these rather pathetic attempts to smear Starmer coming from the supporters of the man who has been twice sacked for lying, has cheated on all his wives, who doesn't exactly know how many children he has, who lied to the Queen, who was all ready to help a 'friend' (who later spent some time in one of Her Majesty's prisons) organise a punishment beating for a journalist who was asking awkward questions, who ignored 'the science' when told not to shake hands with people and consequently contracted C-19, who shook off his minder to go to a Russian oligarch's party when Foreign Minister, who took the threat from the C-19 pandemic so lightly that he missed 5 COBRA meetings (some of them while sorting out his rather squalid personal affairs), who can't stop himself making racist remarks, etc. etc. etc....

It's the difference between a barrister and a former journalist, who was paid to write waffle by the column inch.

Most people would have a lot of catching up to do if they want to emulate the level of Johnson’s lies.

The lesson was delivered last week. And, after this week's repeat, clearly ignored. It could be the PM just doesn't have it in him to be prepared for this sort of questioning.

Exactly Firecracker 123! When you are faced with a situation that is without precedent that you and your team are solely responsible for, being right all the time is a tall order! So easy for those who are not responsible to criticise, like armchair Generals on here! I doubt any government would have run this appalling virus effortlessly!

I’m happy the at long last Johnson’s lies are being called out, and recorded in Hansard.

That alone is a full time job.

Well I expect that Starmer has had nothing else to do all week but prepare for his big moment at PMQs unlike the PM who has been running the country during this Coronavirus pandemic with all that entails, also dealing with Brexit negotiations etc.

Agree with you about K.S, however, it's so easy to criticise safe in the knowledge that you are never going to have to make these immensely difficult decisions.. N.S in Scotland is coming under fire for care home deaths especially on Skye. I almost felt sorry for her!

How soon we forget
My sensibilities can take it, (I think ) ?and I also think Starmer has a long way to go, and will likely grow into his role.Let’s not go overboard / gild the lily/ over egg the pudding, as to his capabilities though, until he has done a lot more.

Why has the Govt stopped publishing a daily international league table of deaths, Starmer asks? Johnson: "International comparisons with other countries, I am advised, are premature". Why publish it for the 7 previous weeks then, asks Starmer.

I think it’s because we are second to top after the USA.

No wonder Smogg is desperate to get parliament back, so that at least the braying Tories can cover some of Johnson’s replies with a wall of noise they do so well

But no amount of noise can cover the fact that they are being led by a donkey.

Johnson, in his speech said there had been consensus with the devolved authorities [I need, unfortunately] to listen to it yet again.

Full Fact

At PMQs, Keir Starmer claimed that, until 12 March, government guidance had said people in care homes were ‘very unlikely’ to be infected with Covid-19.

Boris Johnson said this was incorrect, but Mr Starmer was correct and previous guidance did say this.

Another PMQs where the PM is asked questions by the opposition and he simply does have any answers or lies.

Johnson is incredibly ineffectual.

I am pleased to see that Starmer is beginning to put on record all the lies being told by this government .

This is the latest told today on PMQs. Perhaps it will stop this government from lying and begin to produce accurate data etc.

I stopped work for a short time this afternoon to view Johnson's statement to the House of Commons. In response to that statement Kier Starmer was exemplary I felt in his reaction to the Prime Minister.

Johnson was totally at a loss to answer many of the points that Starmer raised especially in regard to the now wide differences in the crisis regulations in England v Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Johnson has, without doubt, totally broken the consensus of approach that existed between the devolved authorities when this unprecedented crisis first overtook the United Kindom.

Oh I might have MaizieD I was trying to remember exactly what he said but I could easily have got it wrong. There are so many other things which are linked to the virus as well. He was so knowledeable and practical, a complete contrast to all the government prats.
