Just had a news flash that Boris and Carrie have been delivered of a son .

I hope I’m wrong and have lost track of time , but it does seem very early ?

I do hope he is okay .

Surely the age difference is nobody's business but theirs as is the number of children he has.

No doubt if they decide to protect the child by not showing pictures of him they will be criticised and if they do show pictures of him they will be accused of using him to increase Boris's popularity.

EllanVannin Wed 29-Apr-20 18:46:50

I bet it was an added worry to Carrie when she went into early labour. For all we know her waters may have gone sooner with the shock of Boris's illness and she'd tried to " hang on to the baby " nearer its due date, he could well have arrived 5 weeks early.
We don't know the circumstances of his early arrival but I bet it was worrying for all concerned as it always is for anyone who finds themselves in this situation especially as it's her first. It would have been no picnic !

Wealth and privilege can buy even respect now

No. Intelligence, determination and courage.

eazybee Wed 29-Apr-20 18:28:54

Well, we wouldn't know anything about their disagreement if their charming neighbours hadn't broadcast the news, plus their recording of it, to which some people actually listened. Those are the sort of people for whom I have no respect.

Pantglas2 Wed 29-Apr-20 18:23:43

That was June last year - you suggesting she’s an elephant?

MayBee70 Wed 29-Apr-20 18:16:36

Has everyone forgotten that, when the police were called to their apartment, she was probably pregnant? There's a difference between hating someone and having absolutely no respect for them.

Calendargirl Wed 29-Apr-20 17:32:37

It says that Boris will take ‘a short period of paternity leave later in the year.’

Happy with that MaizieD?

Glorybee Wed 29-Apr-20 17:19:26

Wow, you Boris haters do yourselves or your cause no favours whatsoever.

Nightsky2 Wed 29-Apr-20 17:16:42

Trisher. I don’t think he’ll need your sympathy for one second. If you’ve got nothing nice to say about the birth of this little boy then best you say nothing at all.

Wonderful news. William.....Will Johnson sounds good. William de Pfeffel Johnson.smile

trisher Wed 29-Apr-20 17:15:39

I was just thinking how many on GN would have welcomed this child if his dad and mum lived on a council estate and his dad had a track record like Johnson's? Wealth and privilege can buy even respect now.

trisher Wed 29-Apr-20 16:51:19

So no one is allowed to say anything about the arrival of this baby which might be critical. Really! what happened to old fashioned true blue Tory values? This baby has my sympathy. He will have to grow up with a father who can't count his children.
Charm and charisma???? Yuk!

Milly Wed 29-Apr-20 16:45:03

Aren't you all lovely ladies,(except maybe one) rejoicing in this birth, when the father who is our Prime Minister is an Adulterer and a liar. BUT I too am pleased for them and do hope little Bo gets over early arrival.
Because in spite of what I said I like Boris (not a Consevative th0) which just goes to show how charming and charismatic Boris is for us all to ignore his faults!!

AGAA4 Wed 29-Apr-20 16:36:32

Good to see so many posts pleased that Carrie and baby are doing well. The birth of a baby is a very special and happy time.
As the song goes "If you can't say anything real nice. Please don't talk type at all is my advice"

ladymuck Wed 29-Apr-20 16:18:20

I had stopped posting on this site, but I would like to add my congratulations to Boris and Carrie.
Can't understand the nasty comments made by some. Surely, whatever your political leanings and personal opinions, you can welcome the birth of a baby with positive good wishes?

Urmstongran Wed 29-Apr-20 16:18:18

I suppose haters are gonna hate. Some will be thinking ‘how convenient’ because the baby’s birth meant Boris would miss Keir Starmer at PMQ’s.

Mind you, I hear KS has already lost some of his shine? So soon❓

Urmstongran Wed 29-Apr-20 16:14:10

merlotgran ‘Donald’‼️ Love your humour. ?

Dinahmo give over - Boris is very well liked, especially these days when we genuinely feared he’d succumb to C-19. I was upset that Sunday night after the Queen’s speech when he was admitted to hospital. I felt scared because it was some I ‘knew’. Daft, but there it is. We were all so scared back then, living on our nerves.

Anyway, it seems GN is awash with supporters. It wasn’t always so. In fact I’d say you lefties had the upper hand on the political forums back in the day! Now? I’m not so sure. I think many ‘lurkers’ out there are feeling a bit braver and prepared to put their heads above the parapet!
