I thought that Jennie Harries woman was someone that we could trust, but just listened to her saying that travelling in a family group in a car was safe, glossing over the fact that that would only be the case in unbroken journeys.
What a disappointment that even she cannot be trusted to be honest.

It's very convenient that the news broke just at the start of the recess. However, it seems that many Tory MPs who dislike DC may call for his sacking. It's only a few days since Johnson and Patel did a U-turn over the additional payments that immigrant workers in the NHS and care sector at the behest of Tory MPs (apart from the cabinet)

There should be a revolt by all those GPs who refrained from seeing their GCs because they were following the rules.

Curlywhirly My point really is that none of us was there. We do not know the full story. The whole thing could be a pack of lies for all we know but, it could be that they, at the time, felt they had no alternative.

If his story is mainly fabrication, then he should no longer be in his position. Only a full investigation can answer that.

I think that if a member of government Calls the police liars when they patently are not is completely crossing the line. This is something governments have never done - to undermine the security forces.

I have never said I thought he did the right thing. He did break the rules. However, if his version is true (ie aunt caring for child and he and his wife staying in separate accommodation), then, given no other alternative, I would have been tempted to do the same thing.

None of us were there so we cannot know which version is the correct one.

A couple in their situation had no other way to arrange childcare ??
As I said on the other thread I personally know a family with two small children plus newborn where mother was told to isolate within the home as there had been a positive CV case in the maternity ward. So dad had to look after all three for two weeks. Both sets of grAndparents live 200 miles away and obeyed the rules.

Stephen Kinnock is not running the country or making the rules. Demonic Cummings is. SK was totally honest and transparent. Even had a film of him sitting in his parents front garden. I personally am doing similar with my family now and I’m thinking of taking youngest GC to park next week to give parents a break. Just because I think I’ve more common sense than the rule makers.

I have just watched a news report showing a Dominic Cummings leaving his home,his behaviour is disgraceful,so rude and dismissive.

He has to go,but no sign of it so far.

Apart from what he did with regards to the virus,he has his mucky fingers involved in several companies,that have got Government contracts,thanks to his involvement.
