Will he resign?

News breaking tonight that Dominic Cummings and his wife, when ill with Covid-19, put their child in the car and drove 260 miles from London to Durham so that they could isolate at his parent's place and his parents look after the child. This happened some time after 27th March. Remember lockdown was imposed on 23rd March.

Seen in his parent's garden with his child on 5th April.

Neil Fergusson resigned because his lover visited his house after lockdown.

Scotland's Chief Medical Officer had to resign after visiting her second home twice after lockdown.

Cummings and his wife drive 260 miles to stay with his parents (who must be in their 60s at the very least)... What will he do?

Story is in most of the MSM now.

There is some truth in this

They’re trying to push it as close to the daily covid briefing to limit time for questions, I bet.

He’ll do a ten minute tear jerker speech about what a brilliant dad he is at 16:35, take two questions from friendly journos, then say “sorry, but the briefing is on very soon.”

Long delay. Are they looking for some clean trousers for him?

Nothing new so far

Galaxy Mon 25-May-20 16:45:56

This is catastrophic.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 25-May-20 16:47:14

This is far far worse than I thought it possibly could be.

He’s proven that Johnson is a liar.

My tiny violin is working overtime. angry

Whilst displaying symptoms he has been into Downing Street, a hospital and Barnard castle.

merlotgran Mon 25-May-20 16:48:43

grin

merlotgran Mon 25-May-20 16:49:16

That was to SueDonim

Not into to a hospital, to pick up from a hospital. I am trying to be accurate as I dont want to be like them.

merlotgran Mon 25-May-20 16:51:41

Is his hesitant stuttering delivery a performance I wonder?

EllanVannin Mon 25-May-20 16:55:31

I think this virus affects brains.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 25-May-20 16:55:33

I cannot see him resigning or being pushed.

janipat Mon 25-May-20 16:56:54

How amazing that in Mary's very informative Spectator article she didn't even mention that her child was rushed to hospital by ambulance. Stranger and stranger.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 25-May-20 16:57:24

He is acting a part. Look at him at other times and his behaviour then.

This is so bad.

He drove. Car for 30 miles with his son in his car to see if his eyes worked!!!???

Whitewavemark2 Mon 25-May-20 16:59:54

Good question Beth Rigby.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 25-May-20 17:00:03

Everything he has said can be checked, including the child's overnight stay in hospital.

If I had a gang of baying press outside my door I would be out of there in a heartbeat guidelines or no guidelines.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 25-May-20 17:01:19

Everything he has said can be checked, including the child's overnight stay in hospital. Is it anybody's business that his child was hospitalised?

If I had a gang of baying press outside my door I would be out of there in a heartbeat guidelines or no guidelines.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 25-May-20 17:02:06

No idea why post has appeared twice?

EllanVannin Mon 25-May-20 17:02:13

How many airheads on the beaches today ? In shoals ?

This isn't the only man who's caused the " manslaughter " of thousands. What about the elderly who were released from hospital with the KNOWN infection thus killing everyone else in the nursing homes ?

This interrogation of Cummings makes me sick !!

If I'd had an elderly relative in one of the said nursing homes, I'd sue.

EllanVannin Mon 25-May-20 17:04:32

Now it's time for those in charge of nursing homes to answer a few questions.

Never mind excuses about equipment etc. Why were these patients allowed back to infect others ?

Galaxy Mon 25-May-20 17:04:39

Beth Rigby is always good.

MayBee70 Mon 25-May-20 17:05:07

Not apologising. Blaming the media. No mention of his wife’s article. Driving when he was so ill he couldn’t see properly. Was so important that he had to get back to rule the country: from the minute he thought his wife had Covid he should surely have self isolated in his London home for 14 days.

merlotgran Mon 25-May-20 17:08:30

He's dead but he won't lie down!

trisher Mon 25-May-20 17:09:45

Oh what a tangled web we weave! He has just said his child needed a wee on the way back from Barnard Castle so he had to stop (approx 30 miles). But apparently he managed from London to Durham! (250)
