GNHQ edit: Following on from previous thread linked to here: Will he resign?

Nothing on the 9 o'clock news about the idea being binned Whitewave - it would be even before they have looked into it if it has been so a little surprising.

Perhaps it wasn't the BBC News? If it has been "binned" I'm sure it will be in print somewhere - or maybe it's just wishful thinking on your part, who knows? Obviously, as yet, no one.

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 21:30:35

Me too. grin

merlotgran Tue 26-May-20 21:28:02

Thank you, Lucca. It's just how I feel at the moment. grin

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 21:27:53

What else should we believe then, according to what dom and dommer have said?

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 21:26:05

So are 750 odd thousand others, too.

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 21:24:59

Yes, I am.
Absolutely.

GGumteenth Tue 26-May-20 21:22:30

Neither parent was ill at the same time, GGUmpteenth.

Were you there Callistemon? According to what he said the mother began to get better as he got worse. However, he couldn't have known this was how it was going to happen. I will ask you all again, would it have been better to find the child, in the London house, with two dead parents? They did not have the ability to see the future but they did have the nouse to prepare for the worse, just in case. Are you damning him for that?

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 21:19:34

Lucca thank you. grin

I didn't say "fittingly".
I must (as a person on benefits) go and buy the latest phone.
The original keys on this one stopped working, and it keeps correcting me, only wrongly.

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 21:12:02

Oh lord, merlot, it's not for the more sensitive people, or I would have posted it.
Fittingly funny, though.

merlotgran Tue 26-May-20 21:10:20

Is there a link, MissA?

Callistemon Tue 26-May-20 21:07:23

Neither parent was ill at the same time, GGUmpteenth.
The child helped his mother to care for his sick father.
Very irresponsible imo.

I don't think I've ever seen so many posters with different political views in agreement over anything.

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 20:27:50

Have you seen Pie's report on the cummings trip? grin

GGumteenth Tue 26-May-20 20:25:25

The four year old didn't need care

Your opinion Maizie and you weren't there. His was the opposite and he was. Now, under any other circumstances who would be believed?

Lucca Tue 26-May-20 20:24:36

Yes his language is a tad fruity but he absolutely hits the nail on the head.

Lucca Tue 26-May-20 20:23:52

Love Jonathan Pie.

GGumteenth Tue 26-May-20 20:23:31

Can you explain what you mean umteenth you simply mentioned binning and I replied to that.

You did not reply (not that you have to smile) to the comment the vicar made about the deaths in care and hospital not being the same as a child without care. Buts that's okay. I'm off now but will watch the Beeb news at some point to see what has been said.

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 19:58:05

What???? This is a new development, is it?

"The tale of topsy and turvy cummings" (it's fiction, by the way)

Whitewavemark2 Tue 26-May-20 19:57:13

Yes of course but what reference is there that is worth anything? Nothing Cummings has offered has stood for more than 5 minutes.

Of course he has a case to answer, but I will not be made a fool of and believe his lies.

There are facts that we know for sure, but a true explanation from the law maker who broke the rules has not yet been forthcoming.

I will not be played by the game maker in chief.

Jabberwok Tue 26-May-20 19:56:04

His wife didn't take the little boy to hospital, they called an Ambulance. She went with the child, his father collected them the next day and didn't leave the car.

MaizieD Tue 26-May-20 19:52:42

The four year old didn't need care. He had his parents to care for him. Breaking the lockdown rules on the grounds that he 'might' need care is something no-one else would have dreamed of doing. Finding a 'loophole', in retrospect, which no-one else knew about is mighty convenient...

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 19:51:33

Yes, I'm sure that's true (sorry, whitewave!) but that doesn't let Mr. Cummings off the hook.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 26-May-20 19:50:25

umteenth perhaps you will outline what you consider unfounded hysteria?

GGumteenth Tue 26-May-20 19:48:03

The Cummings certainly haven't needed facts, have they?

They may not MissAdventure but in the past Whitewave would, quite rightly, have been pushing everyone on a thread to back what they were saying with referenced facts instead of a whole lot of unfounded hysteria.
