They usually go in the end but it is a wonderful example of defending the indefensible. What fools the rest of us look but even we fools still have a vote.

3 points I would like to make.
1 Cummings is a liar.
2 Cummings has lied.
3 I do not support him at all. smile

Elliegran Tue 26-May-20 16:40:26

3 points I would like to make. Twitter is not the real world. Both the Police and the chief prosecutor do not think Dominic Cummings has broken the law. Starmer needs to look at labour MPs before casting stones, he is a hypocrite.
I support Cummings and Boris.

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 16:16:36

Oh, I fail to see much in the way of charm!!!

NfkDumpling Tue 26-May-20 15:52:25

Cummings is a clever and charming psychopath. He has those he has chosen under his thrall. We’re stuffed! (And I really liked Mr Gove sad)

Headache is an early symptom of the virus; in fact many people don't develop a cough until several days later. It also then probably results in people taking paracetamol which lowers the temperature which would probably fight the virus. This is why public information regarding symptoms results in many people wandering around whilst being infectious. Look how long it took for people to be told that loss of taste and smell was a symptom. What surprises me is that I seem to be more clued up on the virus, how it is spread and what the symptoms are than the people advising us/running the country.

Grannyactivist, thank you for that. Excellent work. smile

Kate54 Tue 26-May-20 15:29:46

Apologies grandpa1943 for wishful thinking re. Parliament being in session. Time has no
meaning any more!

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 15:27:01

Oh, the one to see if his sight had been damaged, you mean?

Susangilley Tue 26-May-20 15:15:28

It was 60 mile round trip!

janipat Tue 26-May-20 15:14:12

Woah!

A Downing Street source (Cummings) has described the resigning Scottish Minister as Mr Nobody!!

Blimey

Blimey indeed Whitewavemark2 doesn't say much for their judgement when appointing ministers does it? That's some admission of a misjudgement appointing a Mr Nobody to such an important post!

Whitewavemark2 Tue 26-May-20 15:05:41

Just listening to a senior fellow of institute of government.

She says that Johnson has sole responsibility for everything that Cummings does. Cummings has zero inherent authority, and so it is up to the media to hold Johnson entirely responsible for the mayhem Cummings is causing.

Callistemon Tue 26-May-20 15:01:41

Sometimes one would wish that Her Majesty could step in!!

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 15:00:42

They really are a bunch of arrogant arses.

Thanks grannyactivist

So many inconsistencies.
Their stories are like a colander, full of holes.

Curlywhirly Tue 26-May-20 14:44:15

I think whether he stays or goes is now irrelevant; the damage has already been done; how can anyone now take Dominic Cummings seriously? He has lost all credibility, and to a lesser degree, so has Boris. After a 6 hour meeting with Boris, the best they could come up with was an eye-test! Not so clever after all are they? Embarassing, just totally embarassing, and all those MPs supporting the story are just making fools of themselves.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 26-May-20 14:37:03

grannyactivist I’m in awe. That was excellent.

MissAdventure Tue 26-May-20 14:32:07

I have read that, too, somewhere.

MaizieD Tue 26-May-20 14:30:41

Now, it's very odd that the police have changed their story since Saturday. Sort of toned it down. I'm sure that on Saturday they said that they had given 'advice' , or reminded, Cummings about c19 'rules'

I shall see if I can find it.

MaizieD Tue 26-May-20 14:27:56

Brilliant analysis, grannyactivist. Thank you flowers

Callistemon Tue 26-May-20 14:25:54

left wing bitter morons
I am not left wing and am not a moron, Firecracker

What Cummings has done and continues to do by lying, obfuscating and refusing to go is very wrong. It proves he has a complete lack of integrity but is in a supreme position of power in this country.
DH tells me that Johnson's rating in the polls has plummeted by 20 points - which proves what many already thought - that he is an idiot weak and a puppet of Cummings.

If there is any nastiness or witch hunting going on, it is that of Cummings's supporters who are threatening to kill Senior Bishops who have criticised his actions.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 26-May-20 14:24:17

Two more tory mps writing to their constituents saying D.C. should go.

Nightsky2 Tue 26-May-20 14:23:32

Whitewavemark2.
How many people do you think have a family who own a farm with lot of land and cottages on it where one could go to if unwell with Caronavirus?. Very few indeed I would think. Also, the police didn’t seem to think that he was doing anything wrong, it was Mr Cummings senior who called them to ask about security. There must be a hospital report and a doctors report somewhere.

Galaxy
As for the junior minister who resigned today, I expect he wanted to leave anyway and used this as his excuse.

MaizieD Tue 26-May-20 14:23:08

I think we should play fair here and not pass on clear errors of fact grin

Talking about C19 and eyesight, apparently Johnson claimed last night that he'd had to start wearing glasses since he had C19. Just a teeensie, teensie little 'error of fact'. He claimed to be 'as blind as a bat and wearing glasses in 2014...

twitter.com/janemerrick23/status/1265003827717120001

It baffles me. WHY does he do this? WHY can't he open his mouth without lying? Do you think that he thinks nobody will notice?

What baffles me even more, of course, is that so many people think that continuous, apparently unthinking, lying, an apparent total inability to tell truth from fiction, is perfectly OK in a Prime Minister...

P.S I realise he was saying this to back up Cummings' trip to Barney.
