George Floyd Protests in Hyde Park

Idiots on beaches and protesters definitely should shoulder the blame.

Looking at the video footage there are an awful lot of BAME protesters and they are particularly vulnerable to Covid so they will have to take responsibility for taking into their family homes, workplaces and communities.

People flocking to beauty spots and the beaches. The riverbank where we used to live in Devon had to be seen to be believed, you couldn't get a pin between them!. Thank goodness we moved some years ago!

What many one on this thread refuse to recognise is that it is and always has been what populist right wing governments do.

Their policies always cause problems but they are adept at causing division and focusing attention away from the real culprits.

Many people are happy to go along with this for various reasons, but it always ends in disaster.

or merely looking for an excuse to justify breaking government rules which would probably have been broken anyway!

The R rate is rising thousands of miles away from London in the North West and the South West.

What shall we blame that on?

D.C was a minor breach, according to the Police as was Stephen Kinnocks. Neither of them even remotely endangered other people. His trip to Durham was not a breach anymore than Ian Blackfords trip to the Isle of Sky. Both had a vulnerable person to consider which was within the rules. So-called journalists who have flagrantly broken lockdown rules outside DC house again and again have certainly broken lockdown,and probably endangered others,but that clearly doesn't matter! Now dear old Barry G has admitted to totally disregarding lockdown, hey ho I guess that doesn't matter either! Wonder if the press will witch hunt him?!! I think we all know the answer to that!!! All this disregard for other peoples safety is totally due and justified by one person's minor breach!! Oh come on, are we so childish!!

So no view on the thousands of protesters all over the UK who are complicit in spreading Covid-19.

If you mean that I am using my democratic right to criticise a government who is responsible for thousands of deaths through incompetence, then yes. In my opinion not to do so would be complicit in theses deaths.

So you have not got an opinion on the protesters spreading the virus WWM2 instead you prefer to push your anti-Conservative agenda as per usual.

We may decide for ourselves how to act and the vast majority are keeping to the rules, but not at the behest of this morally bankrupt government.

They have asked many times that people obey the rules. If they actually imposed them by law there would be those who would protest and scream ‘police state’.

The problem in the U.K. is that this government has no moral authority to stand up and say please obey the rules.

We are leaderless.

Black lives matter, white lives matter. The virus does not discriminate and lives of any colour do not matter to it.
These demonstrators are as dangerous as the virus.

A woman at the demo was interviewed this morning, she said
she was a teacher, asked if the risk was worth joining the demo
she said yes.

If she was only putting herself at risk fair enough, but what of
others she may be putting at risk.

The other week a certain political adviser was roundly condemned for breaching guidelines. He was hauled in front of the press and questioned at length.

This week, thousands of people are visibly breaching the guidelines en masse and nothing much is said.

What's changed?

Of course their are other ways to show support. It seems hypocritical to me to knowingly put other lives in danger by massing in large groups all over the UK.

This is bound to result in a rise in covid cases and some of those people may die.

Well the idiots protesters are out in London again, have already defaced Winston Churchills Statue whilst at least two police officers stood by!!! (There is plenty of video footage of this online)

There have been requests from Government Ministers not to gather in large numbers.

When the "R" goes up in London and there are proportionally more BAME deaths in two to three weeks time these communities / protesters will only have themselves to blame.

Meanwhile all the UK citizens who have observed the guidelines cannot hug our loved ones, cannot attend funerals as limited number of mourners are allowed, cannot legally help out with childcare etc. etc. Have to watch as all guidelines are being ignored and our police force stand by!

There must be other ways to show their support for George Floyd and his family, whilst not endangering theirs and others lives!!!!
