Institutional racism in the police?

I find the whole thing disturbing, there seems to have been little effort put into solving these murders if that's what they are. There has been hardly any information given out publicly, its all very strange.

Annie the women were partying in the park, when the family couldn't contact them afterwards they reported this to the police. When nothing was happening they instituted their own search and found the bodies. Now surely the police could have asked a police or community officer to just walk through and look round where they were last seen. If the family hadn't looked who knows when the bodies would have been found?

Absolutely right. A prime example of institutional racism, in my book. Police Commissioner Cressida Dick was clearly appalled. I hope it's not just these two officers who are punished and held up as examples, but also their mates who presumably did nothing to stop them.

For those who don't seem to know the pictures were selfies of the policemen with the bodies that they then shared with their friends. I suspect that 2 black women partying in a London park were viewed as of little consequence. Perhaps that's why a search wasn't insituted and the family had to find them themselves. It must have been a real shock to find out the women were well connected, their mother being the first black woman Arch Deacon.

Annie, two sisters were murdered and the photos taken by the policemen of themselves with the bodies were posted on social media. Presumably for entertainment.
These policemen need to be named and have custodial sentences.

I think that there are bad apples in all walks of life. I do not think that it is correct to tarnish the whole of the Police Force due to the actions of the Officers involved in this case.

I was appalled to hear the women's mother talking about the police posing for pictures with the murdered sisters. We had an incident a few years ago in my neck of the woods, when a boy from around here on a moped had a collision with a vehicle and as he lay dying on one of our bridges over the river, some members of the public were trying to take pictures on their phones, until the emergency services screened off the accident scene. Shocking behaviour

The UK police have been found time and time again to be institutionally racist. I would go as far as saying they're infected with racism.

I think it needs a massive overhaul. Lots of money thrown at changing the culture both from the top and the bottom. Zero tolerance for any racism.

Imagine if the general public were as outraged by institutional racism in the police as they were by anti semitism in the Labour Party.

Shouldn't be made public though.
