I didn't realise she was starring in a blockbuster. I wonder how Harry feels about his wedding day now?

Reading down the list of expenditure I was struck by £90,000 being spent on silver plated trumpets to announce the event!

Only silver plated?? grin

Isn`t she always expecting a cut,and no doubt she will get it as she gets everything else she wants.

Sparklefizz Thu 30-Jul-20 11:16:18

I think you're right Anniebach

timetogo2016 Thu 30-Jul-20 11:15:38

I`m with you on that Merlotgran.
A great response to the thread police.

Anniebach Thu 30-Jul-20 11:11:09

She may back out and tell the world she will sacrifice her right
to justice to protect her friends

I think H more closely resembles Richard 111's other brother, 'gorgeous George, 'he who ended upside down in a butt of , malmsey, supposedly. He was heir apparent to Edward 1V until displaced by his nephews, and never got over it. Neither did the nephews.

I seems to have read many times lately that Edward V111 had the saddest eyes of any body ever, I hope that doesn't happen to Harry but I fear it already is. I have been wondering how Meg will get out of the court case after watching Mr Depp she can see what will happen.

It is different from the D of W though. He abdicated because he couldn't marry the woman he loved! Had he been able to he would almost certainly have stayed. P.H was allowed to marry the woman he loves and given every thing he/ they wanted, but he still couldn't stay! The D of W was a sad unhappy looking man, but to his credit he never ever bad mouthed the family, never disrespected old Queen Mary or wrote and spouted rubbish in order to embarrass or even bring down his brother the king and destroy the monarchy.
The Duchess also, in public, kept her own council !
I think the RF should beware this 'loving ' uncle, Richard 111 anyone?!! Actually poor old Harry hasn't got the brain so no need to be alarmed, she might though!!!!!

She will have been watching the Depp/Heard case and seen how all the dirty laundry is exposed for all to see, and getting very concerned.

She will have a rethink, and I agree, will back out. Using "not wanting to expose her friends" as an excuse. She'll presumably have to pay the costs for both sides.

maddyone Thu 30-Jul-20 09:35:49

I don’t have a problem with the friends being identified, directly or indirectly. If Meghan wants to play all this out through the courts, I’m afraid she’ll have to put up with it. The royals have a motto, never complain, never explain. Meghan would have done well to adhere to it.

BibiSarah Thu 30-Jul-20 03:42:45

Megan can now beat a much needed retreat from the case if the judge decides her friends who spoke to the press don’t have to be named. She’ll simply say ‘I’m not pursuing this any further because I won’t have their names in the public domain’.

And meanwhile the DM has already all but named them by printing the way the friends are referred to in court documents. It’s very similar to the kind of thing they do when getting round court injunctions taken out by actors and footballers.

Squiffy. I agree!

I dislike the Daily Mail intensely but I have to say that they seem ultra confident that their legal case is watertight and they won't back down; I'll be watching with interest. And if they win, what will the outcome mean for the Sussexs'?

Ohmother Sat 04-Jul-20 10:14:03

They leave me seething and confused. I thought they wanted privacy and to be left alone. Then they make public statements and expect us to take them seriously.

Close the door on your way out...

Sparklefizz Sat 04-Jul-20 08:33:14

Too true, welbeck.

welbeck Sat 04-Jul-20 00:20:25

it could have been be worse.
imagine if harry had been the first-born.
bit like old uncle david/ edward 8th/ duke windsor.

Anniebach Fri 03-Jul-20 21:19:21

I doubt it will be very long, suppose how long they want to hear about his mother and what his controller thinks up.

I saw the photographs the royals put up for Fathers Day,
Phillip with a small Charles and Ann. William with his three ,
Charles put on himself with William and Harry. I felt so sorry
for Charles.

Too much depends on William and Kate now.

Chewbacca Fri 03-Jul-20 20:23:25

But for how long Annie?

Anniebach Fri 03-Jul-20 20:13:43

I doubt it, he is a celebrity in America,

Callistemon Fri 03-Jul-20 20:03:14

Chewbacca

I wonder if H ever sits quietly and thinks wtf have I done?

No!
I doubt it.

Sparklefizz Fri 03-Jul-20 19:52:19

If not now, it won't be long Chewbacca.
I used to feel sorry for him, but not any more.

Chewbacca Fri 03-Jul-20 18:48:03

Sparklefizz Fri 03-Jul-20 18:44:49

They are running out of options methinks.

merlotgran Fri 03-Jul-20 18:08:36

As well as being baffled, my ghast is now flabbered.

Having shut down their Sussex Royal brand H&M want to move forward by becoming saviours of the travel industry.

'This includes Travalyst, led by The Duke of Sussex, which brought together some of the biggest operators in the travel industry - including Visa, Booking.com and Skyscanner - to help travellers pick low carbon options more easily and chose destinations that will have more benefit to local communities.'

Surely a case of, 'Do as I say, not as I do?'
