I am often appalled at the huge amounts of money made by celebs who use their sometimes brief moments of fame to pontificate from their 'platforms.'

I also don't like the term 'influencer.' Someone who earns shedloads by manipulating the lives of others because they would be nothing without their loyalty.

geekesse it's amazing isn't it how so many celebrity parents become THE experts after just months with their first child 🤣

Through her connection with the RF Meghan has got what she always wanted, wealth beyond her wildest dreams.
Be careful what you wish for.
You are likely to be treated the way you have treated others, family, friends, and may find it is lonely on the way down.
I hope Archie is safe and loved and doesn’t suffer the fallout.

Maybe now they will stop sponging off Prince Charles.

The Obamas have charisma, achievements, experience and most importantly, brains.
H&M have none of the above, simply connections, which are fast vanishing.

Will their advice to their son be - ‘go for what you want, if it
means cutting off from us and your maternal grandmother do it, but make sure you get money out of us first’ .

Like all new parents of their first child, they think they are now experts on child-rearing generally. Ignore them and they will grow out of it...

Don't watch any of their stuff. Don't talk about it. Deny them the oxygen of publicity

Harry doesn't have Barack Obama's charisma and Meghan will use Michelle in the same way she used Jessica Mulroney.

Netflix are using them!

The Obamas got their first. No glory in being second.

Clearly this is the kind of life that Megan hoped to achieve and sidelines Harry.
If it goes well for her I think it is probably the first step in discarding Harry, who will be more of a hindrance than an asset in this deal.

Inspirational family programming sounds exceedingly dull. grin

Anniebach Thu 03-Sep-20 12:57:15

Meg has got what she wanted, will Harry be tea boy ?

merlotgran Thu 03-Sep-20 12:45:35

Following in the footsteps of Barack and Michelle Obama, Harry and Meghan have signed a 'megawatt' deal with Netflix. They stand to make $150million!

Their statement promises 'our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope' and, as new parents, 'making inspirational family programming is also important to us'.

grin grin

Will these programmes inspire people to heal rifts and build bridges with estranged families I wonder? hmm
