Oh Harry.

Please leave the political comments to Meghan.

Just keep it zipped

Yep, maybe some of us could audition for the Disney rôle?
Would Meghan be Snow White or the Wicked Queen?

merlotgran Thu 24-Sept-20 17:44:08

They certainly get gumpy old biddies worked up

Not 'arf but they fall well behind Boris, Brexit and Trump!

biba70 Thu 24-Sept-20 17:25:36

grumpy even

Omid Scobie, Meghan's mouthpiece, has written more than a few articles on how Harry is loving his new life in California.

Seeing as most of Finding Freedom was either made up or stuff that we already knew, I think we can assume the opposite.

Meghan is adamant there was no collusion. Scobie has changed his mind on that at least twice. It will all come out in court!

Holes and digging springs to mind.

Do they appeal to the Young because she is thought of as an
American tv celebrity .

SueDonim Thu 24-Sept-20 16:57:58

Agreed. I doubt very much that Harry & Meghan have much appeal to teens and early twenties people in the US.

Callistemon 36 isn’t old but misery is aging. sad

Ellianne Thu 24-Sept-20 16:53:51

At the beginning of this year they had over 11 million followers on Instagram, (mainly a younger person's thing). And it was young people who were turning out in their droves when H & M paid a visit. The couple went into schools, sports centres, youth clubs etc where most of the people were under 30, even under 20. It worked well for them in real life, but I agree Oopsminty, inspirational messages are not cutting the mustard for them on screen.

^The thing is they do appeal to a relatively young audience and are influential. That is really good if used properly. To encourage younger people to vote and to think about climate change and to discourage racism are all admirable.^

I agree.

Who is this audience?

I have 3 children in their 20s and 30s

They have absolutely zero interest in Meghan. Same with their peers.

Most people aren't sucked in by inspirational comments/messages either.

I don't really know who they are appealing to apart from the very strange fans who frequent Twitter and the like, claiming to be madly in love with her.

Do we think Meghan would have married Harry had he been a bit player in Suits?

To encourage younger people to vote and to think about climate change and to discourage racism are all admirable. As much as possible I guess they are trying to speak from their own experience, but the constant posing and urging people to do this, that or the other gets tiresome.

middle aged, and miserable if the picture I saw online is anything to go by

?

Well I would say that 36 is still young.
Even 39 going on 40
But then I am looking at this from a venerable age

However, I think paddyanne has it right. grin

beverly10 Thu 24-Sept-20 15:36:25

They are not greedy yet a Welsh footballer was hammered on a thread for his salary , it was condemned as - obscene

Lexisgranny Thu 24-Sept-20 15:08:35

Is approaching 40 young?

Old enough to know it is advisable to engage the brain before choosing ones words when speaking in public, no matter how intensely one feels about the subject

Is approaching 40 young?

Young enough to hopefully be around for a lot more years.

Pantglas2 Thu 24-Sept-20 14:36:45

How on earth can they be deemed ‘not greedy’ given their recent Netflix deal with their lack of a track record as producers but a footballer with acknowledged first class skills is rubbished for his salary Biba?

trustgone4sure Thu 24-Sept-20 14:26:58

I wonder if Megan will comment on what Trumpty trump said
And what will Harry say about the comment .
I think he has his work cut out with her tbh.

quizqueen Thu 24-Sept-20 14:21:20

If only Harry had been sensible enough to ride off into the African sunset with Chelsey years ago, spending his days saving endangered animals and fundraising to promote local jobs. I think he would have woken up with a smile on his face every day and more people would have approved of his decision- just my opinion!

Newatthis Thu 24-Sept-20 14:04:20

I think if they still have titles and military ranks then they are still receiving tax payers money. I may be wrong!

Anniebach Thu 24-Sept-20 13:29:27

Is approaching 40 years young ?

annep1 Thu 24-Sept-20 13:20:31

I see nothing wrong in two possibly influential young people urging others to use their vote and use it wisely.

eazybee Thu 24-Sept-20 12:59:14

What cause has Meghan joined?

That of self-promotion.

She needs Harry's presence, because otherwise very few would take notice of her.
Personally, I do not like the British Monarchy being cheapened in this way.
