Well actually they did do a lot of travelling (I know how important accuracy is to the posters on these threads)
July 2018 IrelandThe Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Dublin, Ireland, at the request of the British government. This was the first official overseas tour of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after their wedding in May 2018.
15–31 October 2018 Australia
Fiji
Tonga
New ZealandIn June 2018, Kensington Palace announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would tour Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand around the time of the Invictus Games, which was held in Sydney in October 2018.[54][55]
26–27 November 2018 ZambiaThe Duke of Sussex took part in a commemoration service for Zambian military veterans and attended an event of The Queen's Commonwealth Trust.[56]
14 February 2019 NorwayThe Duke of Sussex visited British servicemen and women in Bardufoss.[57][58]
23–25 February 2019 MoroccoThe Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Casablanca, the Atlas Mountains and Rabat. They visited projects centered on the issues of "women's empowerment, girls' education, inclusivity and encouragement of social entrepreneurship".[59]
9 May 2019 NetherlandsThe Duke of Sussex visited The Hague and attended events to mark the official launch of the 2020 Invictus Games.[60]
24 May 2019 ItalyThe Duke of Sussex visited Rome to take part in a fundraising polo match for his charity Sentebale.[61]
3 September 2019 NetherlandsThe Duke of Sussex travelled to Amsterdam to launch Travalyst, an initiative "to encourage sustainable practices in the travel industry".[62]
23 September–2 October 2019 South Africa
Malawi
Angola
BotswanaThe Duke of Sussex visited the Southern African countries at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He was accompanied by the Duchess of Sussex and their son Archie in South Africa and later made solo appearances in Malawi and Angola. The trip also included a short working visit to Botswana by the Duke. As President of African Parks and Patron of Rhino Conservation Botswana, the Duke of Sussex raised awareness about wildlife issues and visited the MOD-African Parks. In his capacity as President of the Queen's Commonwealth Trust, he carried out engagements related to socio-economic and environmental challenges.[63] The tour included a walk by Harry in a former minefield in Angola where his mother Diana, Princess of Wales, had walked and raised awareness about before her death.[64] This was followed by a visit to a British military unit in Malawi. The Duke also attended the renaming ceremony of an orthopaedic centre in Huambo, Angola, which was renamed the Princess Diana Orthopaedic Centre in his mother's honour.[65]
2 November 2019 JapanThe Duke of Sussex attended the 2019 Rugby World Cup Final in Yokohama.
And of course they did have a baby.
Interestingly in 2013 the year Prince George was born the Cambridges made no foreign trips.

^Where else have they been other than Elton John's villa, a luxury pad in Ibiza and a Vancouver Island mansion?^

They did visit Australia and were very well received there.
In fact, I wondered if they might go to live there and save the forests.

They were representing the Queen so the whole trip was paid for by the taxpayer.

What have they done off their own bat?

If Covid is the reason they haven't been able to mix with communities from other countries/cultures then they shouldn't imply they have.

pantglas.
There is no fear how Harry and Meghan are living their lives will effect the future of the British monarchy unlike that which occurred when Camilla decided she wanted another woman's husband, by hook or by crook, regardless .

Don’t think you’re allowed to say that on here....

no, she'd never heard of Black History Month, just like she had no idea who Harry was, (having primed her UK contacts to find her an eligible nice but dim aristocrat.)

Samantha Markle made accusations against Meg and her
alleged snubbing of her blood family.

Gary has spoken of both Meg and Harry and their constant
speeches on saving the world.

Ellianne Sat 03-Oct-20 17:24:07

I think Gary might need to keep it zipped a bit or he will turn into the Samantha Markle type (Meghan's half sister).

Namsnanny Sat 03-Oct-20 17:18:31

'Gobby' Gary summed it up quite well I thought! grin

Anniebach Sat 03-Oct-20 14:18:23

Thank you merlot wonder how many of the Windsors say
the same, in private

merlotgran Sat 03-Oct-20 14:09:04

He's Carole Middleton's brother and a bit of a black sheep but I think he'll have a lot of people agreeing with him.

Anniebach Sat 03-Oct-20 14:00:25

Who is Kate’s uncle Gary ? whoever, I agree with him

merlotgran Sat 03-Oct-20 13:56:44

I wonder if Kate will be blocking her ears in horror or silently cheering her uncle Gary for calling H&M a couple of muppets craving attention and suggesting they 'Shut the f**k up!' grin

Namsnanny Sat 03-Oct-20 13:18:29

I agree Washerwoman, but like trump there is only one message to get out and its 'don't ignore me'
Doesn't really matter what is said so long as the audience is still there watching.
Its all beyond me. I should have thought the content was important but clearly not.

Washerwoman Fri 02-Oct-20 08:52:31

I was genuinely pleased she joined the RF.Now seeing the latest clip where she opens gushingly.I had no idea the UK had a Black History month !No love. You have no idea because you didn't stick around long enough to visit the kind of school where my DD has been teaching and Black History Month has been part of our schools for years. With all the earnest conversations H and M must have had before launching their next public pronouncements you would have hoped they could try to be less patronising.

Ellianne Thu 01-Oct-20 15:45:26

I agree merlot. And how come Meghan knows so much about the UK all of a sudden when before she said she hardly knew who Harry was?

Oopsminty Thu 01-Oct-20 15:28:44

Very odd behaviour.

merlotgran Thu 01-Oct-20 15:26:27

I honestly don't believe a lot of thought goes into their witterings. The bit about travelling the world and meeting communities together could only mean their official visits to Commonwealth countries courtesy of the Queen and the British taxpayer. hmm

Where else have they been other than Elton John's villa, a luxury pad in Ibiza and a Vancouver Island mansion?

These endless video preachings are meaningless if you haven't actually done anything to back up your beliefs.

Anniebach Thu 01-Oct-20 15:14:22

He is a prat, lecturing on the U.K. what’s it got to do with an
American and her lap dog

Ellianne Thu 01-Oct-20 15:11:48

The dog arrives right on cue just as people are nodding off.

grin

I think they're hoping that HM will remove their titles then they can play at being persecuted discriminated against, how hard done by they are, poor me in fact! HM said she would review their position next March and despite the fact that they have broken their side of the bargain, she will stick to hers and I think it will be then that their titles will go! I could be wrong of course! I agree with Ellianne, this decrying of this country by P.H, a country that actually loved him, which perhaps he's conveniently forgotten, is getting very tedious, patronising and insulting.

Callistemon Thu 01-Oct-20 14:48:20

Ps my pot was a sample size btw
