You jest!? whitewave .....! The above from a poster who has
Twice now typed BF ( brain fart) after my posts.
Dear oh dear.

Whitewave when you discover something you like you do rather do it to death, it’s BF now, it used to be ‘give your head a wobble’ ? wonder what it will be next month.?

Has anyone noticed how throughout the day we have posted and answered posts which have been both productive and pleasant, but it has now deteriorated since post such as the attached posts aimed at the individual rather than moving the subject along.

How unpleasant

How unnecessary

How nasty.

Maw I laughed reading that from Maizie ? but perhaps a few think you live in Scotland.

gringringrin

Just an assumption, Maw.

I haven't a clue where you live but I know you're Scottish...

I’m sorry but you have implied that you originate from Scotland or the borders so why is Maizies assumption such a source of amusement? Of course I could be totally wrong in which case lemongrove can laugh at me, too.

Ah, but you know what they say about when you assume?
It makes an “ass” of “u” and “me”.
Anybody who reads the Good Morning will know I live in North Bucks and as far as I know we do not have the Donald to add to our current list of plagues (we have had floods and plague though - frogs next perhaps?)

There are a lot of postings on Parler regarding the day of the Inauguration, there are calls for Trump supporters to arm themselves and prepare for war!

If anyone is wondering why the response of the police to the rioters was so lacklustre there's an interesting article here.

The trouble is that unless he gets put into prison, he will continue to cause trouble for years.
That could turn him into a hero though - a freedom fighter incarcerated by an evil regime!

Whitewavemark2 Fri 08-Jan-21 18:34:54

Being filled with vengeance is a dangerous thing. He needs very careful watching.

DT was bound to have been told by his lawyers to put that statement out, to avoid any criminal charges.
Am sure that his only regret is that the crowds didn’t go even further than they did!

More teddies and rattles on the floor!
So Trump won’t attend the Inauguration.
Aaaaw! .

Missing him already - not!

He intends to visit your part of the world, though, Maw

Will you be able to keep him out?

I don’t think so MaizieD - where do you think I live? [confused

They are saying that there is a lot of chatter on the dark web etc.

The trouble is that unless he gets put into prison, he will continue to cause trouble for years.

PippaZ Fri 08-Jan-21 17:35:57

Or the message "I won't be attending" could be code. I do hope they decide to change the setup of the inauguration on Covid grounds. Perhaps an underground bunker with very few guests.

Having written that I wish I could smile at the jokiness of it; except, knowing he has a plan of some sort means I can't. What a dreadful man and how awful that the Republicans followed him knowing what he is.

Jane43 Fri 08-Jan-21 17:35:53

I watched something on You Tube which was very interesting. It is the author of The Art Of the Deal, Tony Schwartz, speaking to The Oxford Union in 2016, just before Trump won the election.

He gives an insight into Trump’s character and in summary he has no redeeming features, he is a compulsive liar who has no interest in anybody else except himself. Well we knew that didn’t we? He was asked how Trump would handle losing, this was the 2016 election, and he said he would never admit he lost, would get very angry, lashing out and blaming other people. He also said he would claim the election was unfair and rigged. Prophetic words. He also said The Art Of The Deal is probably the only book Trump has ever read.

It’s called The Truth About Trump, Oxford Union Q and A.
