Francois has been voting by proxy, which is strange.

This is a summary of the rules for eligibility to vote by proxy:

"This is the scheme governing the operation of proxy voting for MPs absent from the House by reason of childbirth or care of an infant or newly adopted child, and for MPs unable to attend at Westminster for medical or public health reasons related to the coronavirus pandemic."

I doubt very much if Francois has given birth.

No MP has been charged with rape, as far as I know.

We had a thread on this a while back. He hasn’t been allowed in the HoC for months.

On a completely unrelated topic, does anyone know the name of the MP who has been charged with rape?

I thought there were rules about voting and never turning up?

I expect the tories are so worried about losing their majority that every vote counts grin

Aren't the 'rules' suspended at the moment, or do MPs who want to vote have to do so in person, even though they can't all get into the socially distanced chamber?

Well biba as my dm would have said’ I’ll believe you, thousands wouldn’t’ ?

biba70 Mon 26-Oct-20 14:25:45

Why? Because I saw his name mentioned on another thread- and suddenly realised I have not seen him anywhere on TV for weeks- when he used to be all over the place all the time. And though 'strange- why?' - and yet he seems to be voting???

suziewoozie Mon 26-Oct-20 14:21:58

We live in <drum roll> unprecedented times ?

Whitewavemark2 Mon 26-Oct-20 14:20:27

I thought there were rules about voting and never turning up?

suziewoozie Mon 26-Oct-20 14:18:24

WW stop it. Go to Twitter

Whitewavemark2 Mon 26-Oct-20 14:13:53

So does that mean he is going to trial?

suziewoozie Mon 26-Oct-20 14:11:49

I must say his absence has been a blessed relief

suziewoozie Mon 26-Oct-20 14:10:52

It’s best not brought up on here. We do all know and if not Twitter will oblige

MaizieD Mon 26-Oct-20 14:00:02

I think it's sub judice.

eazybee Mon 26-Oct-20 13:52:02

Why is this important?
The majority of us don't know why he is less visible than general, but you are clearly bursting to tell.

midgey Mon 26-Oct-20 13:46:17

I don’t!

Iam64 Mon 26-Oct-20 13:37:54

I suspect the majority of us know why he is less visible to the general public than usual .

kittylester Mon 26-Oct-20 13:33:12

But, why, biba?

lemongrove Mon 26-Oct-20 13:30:12

Are you missing him biba ?

GrannyGravy13 Mon 26-Oct-20 13:18:03

I am in a neighbouring constituency, and he has been seen out and about locally

kittylester Mon 26-Oct-20 13:14:28

Why? Have I missed something?

biba70 Mon 26-Oct-20 13:09:24

does anyone know? Anyone from his Constituency?
