Anniebach Those points are untrue and have been debated endlessly on GN you have a biased post of view. There is no evidence that it was anti-semitic to attend that ceremony, Ruth Smeeth's verbal attacker claimed he didn't know she was Jewish and the wall mural was only anti-semitic if you accepted cetain views of the images, views the artist has contested.
But feel free to condemn a man whose mother was one of the Cable Street demonstrators .
Here;s some of his record on anti-semitism
In 1990, he stood behind concerns about the “dissemination of antisemitic and racist materials” and challenged the lack of prosecution over sharing known antisemitic publications.
Corbyn signed an Early Day Motion (EDM) in 2003 condemning “terrorist, anti-Semitic attacks” against two synagogues. This EDM also criticised: “a dramatic increase in anti-Semitic incidents against the UK Jewish community and… rise in support for the BNP”. It ‘rejected’ “those who cynically exploit differences of opinion over Israel and Palestine to promote anti-semitism”. The EDM called for the government to “institute a zero tolerance policy to combat anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and racism in all its forms”.
In 2009 he signed an EDM to challenge the rise of antisemitism in UK universities.
He also signed an EDM criticising online antisemitism in the same year.
In 2013, Corbyn signed an EDM to condemn “all forms of racism and anti-Semitism in sport”
Corbyn has also frequently stood against far-right and neo-nazi groups, especially when their action may threaten Jewish people. Boyle lists another seven examples of Corbyn’s stand against antisemitism and racism.
