I don’t really know why, but this picture cheered me up this morning.
Camilla getting her Jack Russell to unveil a plaque looks like the sort of silly thing most of us dog lovers might do, and takes away the rather nonsensical formality of an unveiling.
unveiling.
Liking Camilla more and more!

I'm loving this doggy thread. We have a little cocker spaniel whom we both love dearly. She will be our last in a long line of dogs mostly spaniels, as we are now too old and would hate to leave an orphan! Our daughter will have her if necessary, but we'd rather leave a clean sheet so to speak.

Alfie is gorgeous V3ra, along with all the others!

sodapop Thu 10-Dec-20 20:26:53

Alfie is a little cutie V3ra give him a cuddle from me .

Lucretzia Thu 10-Dec-20 19:23:35

This is a lovely thread

Alfie looks very dapper, V3ra!

V3ra Thu 10-Dec-20 19:21:23

This is Alfie, our Jack Russell/Yorkshire Terrier cross who we rehomed through a friend of a friend.
He's fed up here as he'd just had his first lockdown haircut. He's the noisiest dog I know!

Camilla has certainly bided her time and proved to be a rock for Prince Charles. She's definitely grown on me.

Great photos and lovely dogs - all of them. Thanks.

EllanVannin Thu 10-Dec-20 16:33:31

I think Camilla's a lovely person---so right for Charles and the Royal Family in general. I actually did 2 or 3 " takes " when that pic first appeared, it was so normal and the dog enjoyed it.

Urmston's pic is fabulous. It'd make a great painting because it would make you smile regardless how you felt.

Parsley3 Thu 10-Dec-20 16:27:04

Well done,Camilla for bringing a bit of fun and informality into the unveiling. This is the way forward for the RF.

BlueBelle Thu 10-Dec-20 16:12:08

I ve always liked Camilla even when the country didn’t Shes a down to earth lady and suits Charles wonderfully in my opinion

Ellianne Thu 10-Dec-20 16:02:36

Your little Jack Russells all look so alert. Bright eyed.

My golden retriever looks dopey or drunk in comparison!

Lucretzia Thu 10-Dec-20 15:59:50

Merlotgran!

What a fabulous photo.

This is Minnie, looking pensive smile

Lucretzia Thu 10-Dec-20 15:56:05

I do like Camilla

And I love their choice of dog

We've had JR's over the years. I have one sat by me right now as I type. Also a rescue who has been the most wonderful addition to our family.

Mine is a dead ringer for Camilla's and would have acted in exactly the same way

Great picture. Thanks for posting smile

Agree with jaberwok. I also think Camilla and PC seem like a nice couple. I think she may as well be queen when he becomes king.

Jaberwok Thu 10-Dec-20 15:46:04

I love these dogs, (and Camilla) for making us smile in these somewhat gloomy times.?

mokryna Thu 10-Dec-20 15:37:27

The dog was used for the right situation which made everyone smile. Happy times

merlotgran Thu 10-Dec-20 14:26:53

My favourite Jack Russells. Millie, in the middle - sadly we had to say goodbye to her this time last year, her daughter Peggy on the left and Peggy's brother, Gloster who is living with DGS1 and well beyond his 5yr warranty. grin

SueDonim Thu 10-Dec-20 13:25:50

They’re all cute! Such appealing faces.

We were once on the same flight as Camilla and her coat looked as though a dog had used it as a bed and then decided it was too scruffy to use any more. grin

Ellianne Thu 10-Dec-20 13:16:07

Funny picture Urmstongran. My vote goes to the golden retriever with the blue striped towel.
Hang on shouldn't a shepherd be an alsatian (GS) or a border collie?
Imposters!

twinnytwin Thu 10-Dec-20 13:11:22

When I first sort it in the paper I laughed out loud at the dog's face. Nice way to start the day.

Urmstongran Thu 10-Dec-20 13:07:45

Great photo!

At the risk of becoming boringly repetitive today I do want to share this one with you all. It makes me smile every time I look at it.

I love the tiny puppy in the manger and the eyes of the terrier in the green towel!

merlotgran Thu 10-Dec-20 13:04:58

I think they're a great partnership as well, Jaberwok

Jaberwok Thu 10-Dec-20 12:56:33

Than you FannyCornforth, that was really nice of you. I get so used to being pulled down on these threads that I get a bit nervous about going against the flow! ?✨?

sodapop Thu 10-Dec-20 12:25:35

Great pic, I think Camilla adopted two JR's from Battersea. tchsmile

We miss our JR so much merlotgran they are such characters, larger than life.

FannyCornforth Thu 10-Dec-20 11:28:04

Jaberwok I think that's a lovely post.
It's always best to see the good in people.

Callistemon Thu 10-Dec-20 11:01:43

What a great photo!
Well done Beth
