I am.
Americans elect the leader of the acknowledged Free World.
That includes us.
What happens in America doesn’t stay in America, it affects all of us.

I think a few forum members are American, and some have children living over there, and surely most of us are not so insular that we have no interest in countries other than our own.

Come to that I am interested.

It's hard to see people stand by when this happens. I know they are probably scared but there are several onlookers. I think I'd have to at least say something even if I was afraid.

Being a bystander is collusion in my opinion.
So so horrible.

But with unfettered carrying of arms in the US how would you know that someone wouldn't whip out a gun and shoot you if you tried to intervene?

I'd be terrified...

Racism is alive and well just about everywhere, unfortunately. I find it hard to comprehend how people can behave like that, but you don’t have to look far for examples.

Absolutly shocking.

The ignorance is frightening-

I lived there as part of a mixed race family 30 years ago. I've let my green card expire. No desire to go back. Had some terribly racist encounters there.

A sculpture of Breonna Taylor, the 26 year old EMT shot and killed by police in a botched raid, was vandalized 2 weeks after its installation ..
