Obviously, the Oprah interview with the Sussexes.

I will because I want to hear it straight from the source rather than media spin/interpretation so that I can comment later on what I saw and heard, when discussions start up as they surely will.

However, I don’t think they should be doing an interview at all (I felt the same about Diana and Charles interviews) these things end up backfiring against them.

I don’t want to watch it. I suspect it will be very boring and/or make me angry, but if I don’t I can’t have an informed opinion.

There was no private wedding, their couldn't have been. For it to have been legal C of E rules say that two witnesses must be at a wedding, that two people who are married cannot marry each other again and that the public must have unrestricted access during any marriage ceremony, to allow for valid objections.

It isn't known if the Arch Bishop can override these rules but seems highly unlikely he would and then go along with the charade that took place 3 days later.

Ooooooops , apologies I misread what he said

Did the Archbishop not confirm Meghan as a member of the CofE at that time? Possibly there was a wedding rehearsal.

If there had been a legal wedding there would have to have been two witnesses.

Rushed in with my Farage comment. Seems he doesn’t support the Sussexes.
Stand by the fact that he’ll say anything for a headline.

Anniebach Mon 08-Mar-21 15:57:48

It’s all so sad, Harry cash supply was cut off, if he stayed in this country could he not have claimed unemployment benefit?

Calendargirl Mon 08-Mar-21 15:54:59

I shall be so interested to hear about the private wedding 3 days before the ‘world’ one.

Who was there, did they all wear their glad rags, who officiated, did they exchange rings.....?

Ilovecheese Mon 08-Mar-21 15:54:14

So where did the idea that Nigel Farage supports the Sussexes come from?

LauraNorder Mon 08-Mar-21 15:52:43

Nigel Farage would support Rasputin if it meant a headline for him.

Alegrias1 Mon 08-Mar-21 15:49:32

Then there's this....

You mean we didn’t need to pay all that money after all?

So who wanted the big wedding? The Queens other grandchildren have had less expensive, less published weddings.

Can we get a refund?

Tea3 Mon 08-Mar-21 15:48:28

I think there is someone pulling Megan’s strings with the aim of destabilising the royal family.

The crying was all about flower girl dresses. A storm in a teacup.

Google rarely disappoints. And it was nobody's wedding day.

I don’t get the speculation about the colour of the baby, with a mixed race mother children are progressively lighter or darker according to the father. Archie has at least 75% white genes and has a light skin, IF any remark was made it was just bitching.

Honestly, if I overheard a remark like that I would have hit the roof immediately, so would most of us, it’s disrespectful and racist in the extreme.

Lucca Mon 08-Mar-21 15:40:44

It’s not important to me other than in the interests of fairness

But anyway this thread has said the same things soooo many times. I’m out,

Lucca I don’t know why this point is so important to you. I didn’t hear about Meghan making Kate cry but I can equally believe that Kate made Meghan cry. It was her wedding day and she was wound up about everything and so they were both upset about it. My point is now, three years later, it still rankles!

I was referring to gagajo post and mine from upthread
“ Gagajo “ And as for Kate. You all believed the rumours when it was believed that Meghan made Kate cry. But disbelieve it when it is said that Kate made Meghan cry. ”

I've googled in various ways to try and find out where the story came from that Meghan made Kate cry and all that comes up are M's claims that K made her cryconfused.

Well I’ve certainly read it before many times

AGAA4 Mon 08-Mar-21 15:32:12

There are two sides to every story. The only side we will get in this interview is Meghan's. She is playing the victim and it would be interesting to know what actually went on, not just her version of it. We will most likely never know the truth as the Royals may keep a dignified silence.

Harry is miffed as he his security payment has been stopped. As the security for the Royal family is provided by the police, does he expect them and the British taxpayer to pay for him in America?

No wonder the Queen is reported to have said she is "cheesed off with it".

I am on their side but really wish that they hadn't done this interview. I will be watching with interest though ...
