Karen Geier, nasty or naive?

There have always been nasty people around who choose to say nasty things about people in the news or their neighbours and people like this will continue to be with us.

The best thing to do is ignore them.

I doubt you will, anno. She’s got fewer followers on Twitter than my local council. And she makes them look interesting.

Never heard of her; hope never to hear of her again.

I only saw this article in the Guardian.

She has had an article printed by them, I believe. Five years ago.

She sounds very juvenile.

People want it to be true so believe it. I note however the Mail has changed its angle now so its story is the Guardian’s denial rather than other peoples lies/ deliberate misinformation.

For the avoidance of doubt KG had one article published in the Guardian 5 years ago. This does not make her a Guardian journalist no matter what any link says. Otoh vile Katie Hopkins had a regular column in the Mail for ages

You mean along with the Sun, the Mail? Or the fact that the Guardian quite rightly wanted to put the record straight after the Mail’s usual rubbish?

I would say they’ve always been there but were not able at a click to spread their bile. Social media has changed forever the national discourse

What a vile thing to say .. what a horrible person she seems to be .

I’m sure that she will now be trolled by people who are as vile as she is.

Yes, I agree. I am not a royalist, but I wouldn't wish a painful death on anyone.

I hadn't heard of Karen Geier, but it doesn't look as though I've missed much.

Perhaps I should have said how vile the behaviour of some people is today!

When I opened the link and saw the headline my stomach turned. What a truly horrible thing to say. I saw about the drinkers outside Buckingham Palace too Annie.
I conclude that by today’s standards I must be easily shocked. What absolutely vile people there are nowadays.

Vile person. No doubt she will now become yet another celebrity. Famous for being obnoxious.

If she does a tenth of the good that he’s done in his lifetime then she’ll do well......I won’t hold my breath.
