I've thought all along that the so-called "feud" between the brothers has been exaggerated by the media. Brothers fall out as anyone with sons will tell you. Usually they make it up and everything is forgotten, but with Harry leaving the country and the press delighting in nasty gossip, a small disagreement has grown into all out war.
At least one reporter thinks as I do.

I live in the south west and read Devon and Cornwall Live for local information.
Yes, Ellianne, that is what pops up on my newsfeed; Cornish people must be up in arms about all the shenanigans
Yes, Callistemon, likewise.
I live in the south west and read Devon and Cornwall Live for local information. Over the last few days there have been non stop headlines how Princess Anne and Sophie are angry with Harry, how Meghan wrote a note to be attached to her wreath, how Prince Charles is poised to ditch H & M, how Scoobie knows that talks were unproductive.
In comparison the number of articles on the very person who owns the Duchy of Cornwall are very few. Bizarre.
We have many caves down here, but I don't live in one either.
Duty
I am interested in peoples opinions annie, not the details of the rf, I think peoples views of the rf cover lots of things I am interested in tradition, duty, inequality, etc etc. So I wouldnt read an article on Facebook on I dunno Meghans trip to the shops with baby archie but I would read a thread about dity for example.
But you must be accessing these things somehow.
I watched the wedding - lovely. Something to cheer us all up.
Well, I do watch the evening news on mainstream channels - I am not a complete hermit although sometimes it has felt like that over the last 14 months.
And, of course, there is always Gransnet, that never-ending source of entertainment
Elegran the number of posts about M&H that have appeared on FB have been phenomenal just lately, often from other normally non-controversial sites or from friends who are usually very sensible. I just see them pop up, go
and move on or hide.
As lemongrove says, if you live in a cave you can avoid it all.
I watched the Oprah interview, smacked wrist
Galaxy you read all the threads on the royal family surely you have an interest.
When you glance at Facebook, things pop up without you choosing them or clicking on anything, from other people's pages, or the FB posts of people/organisations that you have looked at previously when something completely different caught your eye.
But I do all those things, the only place I pick up info on M and H is on here. If any news on the rf comes on the TV I dont listen, in the way I don't listen to the football results. I am afraid there is a market or they wouldnt do it. People love the drama.
True, if you live in a cave you can avoid it all.
Tv news Galaxy and radio and SM.
But you must be accessing these things somehow. I havent a clue about where Harry is now, who he has spoken to etc, you can only know this if you click which is a purchasing of a type. They dont beam it directly into your brain. Or if they do they have missed me out.
Who knows their every move?
To be fair, they've been on TV news too - it is difficult to avoid them!
I was interested when they married, had Archie, thinking they would be a great asset to the UK because I am interested in projects such as The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy, the Invictus Games etc.
Is that not allowed?
I also enjoyed the programme about conservation in Windsor Great Park too.
Seeing young people on TV who benefited from the D of E scheme and knowing someone who works for The Prince's Trust.
I supposed that means I am a sycophant royalist.
I haven't watched The Crown though.
?????????
I think this is how it goes Lucca...most of us have had more than enough of Harry and Meghan and would be happy if we never saw them or heard from them again.Unfortunately, they have their own PR who constantly pump out bits of info and friends who are possibly prompted to ‘leak’ things.
As regards the Palace, they have their own press officers to put ( rather more guarded and tactful ) info out into the public realm.
You don’t need to buy any paper or magazine to know what either of these ‘outlets’ are saying, it’s everywhere you look.
So nobody is interested and nobody reads anything about m and h and yet and yet thread after thread appears with posters claiming to know their every move. Odd.
It is not strange that the media seem to know what the RF are doing. The Royal Houses have Press Offices which release official items to the media on a regular basis.
You're right about trisher's assumption Ellainne. I don't get newspapers or magazines. Whenever I come on line I get news feeds popping up on my screen and when they're about H and/or M I rarely bother to read them as the headline is more than enough.
I've not bought a newspaper for years, but I am surrounded with dubious information about the RF. someone must be buying it, and someone must be providing it. Presumably a lot is put out by publicity agents and press releases for the relevant characters, but a lot more is just made up on the spot by "friends" or by "sources near to . ." or by journalists in need of a sensational headline or an old photograph they can claim is the latest scandalous revelation.
The problem is that most newspapers online are behind a paywall apart from the Mail and the Guardian, which tells me how many articles I have read this year already.
I don't purchase any newspapers or magazines and since not going to the hairdressers for 14 months I haven't had my six weekly fix of Hello either
???
I think the last time I looked at Hello there was an article about Priscilla Presley splashed all over it - my hairdresser thought she looked fabulous and I disagreed with him.
Reading all the blurb on GN about H&M is more than enough, thank you.
I don’t purchase anything ( newspapers/ magazines) but constantly see items about H and M wherever I look/ listen.
Purchasing it is going out of your way I am afraid. They dont care what your thoughts about it are as long as you buy it.
I thought Omid Scobie was an alternative comedian ( maybe he is)?
I agree Elliane we don’t need to go out of our way to read this stuff, it’s just there!
I think trisher you're wrong to assume that maddy, calli, nams, smiley, merl, stewie and elli etc etc all sit there voraciously reading M & H stories. I can't speak for others of course but the subject doesn't whet my appetite or attract me in a big way any longer. The problem is I can't escape it whatever paper I read. There is no one less greedy for frivolous news than my DH yet he makes the occasional, irritated comment, because he is sick of it all.
It's obvious from the threads about this on GN that the media are on to a winning subject whatever side they represent. Personally I couldn't care less if I never heard of any of them again, but the great soap opera of the RF and its associates will continue to attract some people. Goodness knows why.
