It's too painful to consider SueDonim and Urmstongran. The BBC have a lot to answer for. They don't care. They just see this election as entertainment. It's life for us.

??

The SNP had two Scottish-born actors on a live stream today telling Scots to vote for independence. One lives in New York and the other lives in Las Vegas.

I said on the other thread that the SNP’s giant leaflet fitted my cats’ litter tray perfectly.grin

BBC Scotland has blatantly and outrageously supported the SNP over the last 12 months, including its daily broadcasts of the Nicola Sturgeon Show, thereby violating its supposed impartial status. The SNP probably think leaflets are superfluous.

I also notice the parties who don’t bother, but in general leaflets don’t influence me at all.

Not me. I have one overall issue which matters to me and only one way of expressing it in this area, so leaflets don’t sway me.

I’ve always wondered whether signs in windows and gardens ever influenced anyone. One party was out canvassing on a motorway bridge near here last week and it was actually quite intimidating as they were waving placards and flags around while you had to drive under them and you didn't quite know what was going on until you got very close.

Helps me to focus. I gather them all and nearer the time I read and compare in case I have missed anything.

I notice the ones who dont bother. We have a number of independents standing who havent produced a leaflet I assume I am supposed to know what they stand for by some sort of psychic transmission.

They go straight in the grey bin grin

We currently have a Labour Council.
I’ve had leaflets from:
Green Party-will make things greener and work to provide more charging points for the electric car I can’t afford.
Labour-will do a long list of things (including all the things they haven’t done whilst they’ve been in charge of the council.)
Conservative-will do a long list of things, starting with fixing road surfaces, not just topping up potholes.
Lib-Dem haven’t posted leaflets-saving paper?
Which of these is most convincing? I’m not asking for how people will vote, just an opinion on the leaflets.
