The policeman charged with Sarah's murder has pleaded guilty. I think this means that her family and friends won't have to endure the trauma of a trial. They can do without that, they must be suffering enough.

He hasn't pleaded guilty to murder just accepted responsibility for causing her death.

They are waiting for all the medical evidence but, as you say, he has accepted being responsible for her death. So very sad for her family and also his.
