Maybe Loach has just got too OTT ( he was always going that way) as he got older and is one of the ones causing more division within the Party.

Doodledog

If only those who have campaigned and put their money where their mouths are should be in political parties they would have very few members.

Making films is Loach’s job - of course he does it for money. Do you think people should work for nothing? I’m really not sure what your point is.

This might be the final straw for me. I’ve been in and out of the LP over the years, always in opposition, and largely in the hope of tempering Tory excesses. I will never vote Tory, and I don’t like the Lib Dems (even less so as a party to suck up the disaffected from the rest), so it’s not ideal for me, but it’s reaching the point where I will have to resign again.

Of course he makes films for money, and no I don’t expect him to work for nothing. But he does not have the same reach as. Marcus Rashford, who really manages to make change. Loach makes the right noises but has no punch, is extremely left wing, which most of this country won’t tolerate which is why Corbyn lost, thank goodness. We all want fairness and equality, but as in Animal Farm, ‚‘all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others‘. So in a left wing world also this would very much apply.

Why would groups need to support Corbyn not the elected leader ? Do they want Corbyn back as party leader ?

Has he, has he campaigned, such as Marcus Rashford, and achieved something, has he put his money were his mouth is or does he just make films to make money.

Disgraceful What sort of Labour Party is Starmer leading?

twitter.com/PhillipsBarrie/status/1419707047336157184?s=20

Ken Loach a man who spends his multi award winning professional life, fighting for the underprivileged and exposing Tory societies abominations is being expelled from the Labour Party, by a leader who takes money from Israel and writes for Murdoch! "BEYOND WORDS!"

Ken Loach has done more for the underprivileged, the homeless and the hungry than Starmer and Evans and the whole shadow cabinet will ever do.

I'm in shock.

Legendary film-maker and lifelong political activist Ken Loach could be ejected from the Labour Party, it has been rumoured on social media.

It comes after Sir Keir Starmer purged 1,000 Labour leftwingers from four “poisonous” campaign groups as the party clamps down on supporters of the leader’s predecessor, Jeremy Corbyn.
