2 Suicide bomb attacks at Kabul Airport

The media shows so many desperate people waiting for a flight but with time running out fast I shudder to think what will happen to those who don't get airlifted. The Taliban is a sick and brutal regime and I fear they will go on a bloodthirsty rampage once the last plane has gone.

It's so awful how this evacuation is going to leave so many people left behind and they must be feeling desperate knowing that precious time is running out before the planes stop taking off. How will they be treated once everyone pulls out and they are left to their own devices.

It's just beyond savagery. Truly shocking. Those poor people, many of them already terrified, and hungry. Lost for words. Nothing short of Evil.

Can someone explain to me how American intelligence knew that a terrorist attack on the airport was imminent but that same intelligence didn’t realise that the Taliban were going to take over the country in a matter of days?

I really don't understand what motivates such cruelty. Surely to be in charge of a country should mean seeing its citizens happy, healthy and flourishing? Who in their right mind gets satisfaction from terrorising so many people and who can feel proud of committing such atrocities? It's like a sort of mass psychosis.

"when the US troops said they were leaving all the jihadis cheered". There were warnings that ISIS would move in on the crowd of poor people waiting to leave at the airport.
