BREAKING NEWS from The Guardian:

Paul Dacre has been appointed as the editor-in-chief of the
Daily Mail’s parent company after pulling out of the running to be the next chair of the media regulator, Ofcom.

His appointment at the helm of DMG Media also comes just days after his rival, Geordie Greig, was ousted as editor of the group’s daily title. Dacre’s appointment was announced to staff in an email from Lord Rothermere, the company’s owner...
