It is in the past, gone and finished with. I couldn’t see my elderly relatives but at am not up in arms about this. Did it happen or not, quite frankly I don’t care. Going on and raking it up isn’t going to change things, let it go and let’s get on with the here and now. You can’t change the past but we can change the future.
... well yesterday is, theoretically, "in the past", so that's quite a convenient way to excuse misdeeds...
It's interesting that the previous leader of the Labour party had his past deeds - some dating back years and years - thoroughly examined by the media, and were used as a basis for not voting for him (and I didn't BTW, I am not a Corbyn fan).
Changing the future you say? Well one way of doing that is by admitting the mistakes of the past.
You may not be bothered by the obvious contempt being shown to the general public, but some will question the validity of a party's diktats when the rules they make are conveniently not applied to themselves. And it won't just be the Left who are asking questions, Johnson's own party faithful are also beginning to feel qualms about his leadership.
