Her books have been translated into 80 languages, she's sold more than 500,000,000 worldwide and she's worth an estimated £820,000,000. Yeah, she's definitely a failure as a writer.

Thanks to JKR my dyslexic French schooled daughter started reading English at the age of 11. When she was 15 she only had a reading age of 9 in French and she asked to leave the regular stream. Her English was good enough to be accepted into an English university and now she does the job she always dreamt of.
