Will someone please tell them Quidditch isn’t real?

So many articles in the news annoy me Maw. This was one. I tend to swerve them after the first couple of paragraphs. I know where they’re heading! I see the words “transgender” “cancel culture” “woke” and then move right on along.

I admire JK R hugely and think this latest is a load of twaddle

I read about this earlier and became so irritated, I stopped reading. Childish and avoidant but honestly, JKR is a heroic woman. She wrote books that got boys reading. She’s brought more fun and enjoyment to the lives of children than any of those attacking her.
I read them along with my young teens. They now have small children who love the books and movies.
It’s like Narnia in some people’s hearts. Always winter and never Christmas - bah humbug

Seems strange they are happy to use her ideas though, what hypocrites. If I was her I would sue them for plagiarism, if that’s the right word.

Can they just do that? Given JKR invented the game and the name, surely they can't just change it as they want and rename it? She must own rights.

I think it's quite fun that they have managed to make it into an actual sport but have no idea how it's played, since flying around on broomsticks isn't a real thing. I'm guessing it's been adapted to ground level and running around? I might see if I can find that out.
