karmalady ? You cannot be serious? Johnson has been promoted above his capabilities, he is corrupt, inept and a liar, why on earth would you want more of the same. He has tarnished the UK’s image abroad and made a mess at home.

I am fed up of all these vindictive leaks and waiting for Boris to rise from the ashes

This corrupt immoral government should resign in disgrace.

I'm not even angry, I just find it all incredibly sad and I don't have the words to express just how much harm they have done

Everyone who lost loved ones deserved better. The queen is a figurehead for all of them, however, as the footage of her sitting alone at her husband's funeral were seen by so many.

I think this is the point. The Queen, at an advanced age, sitting alone at her beloved husband's funeral, illustrates the mood of a country whose rituals were so disrupted by Covid rules. Those rules observed (even if reluctantly) by the majority. To now find out that 'those in charge' were blatantly ignoring them is more than a 'kick in the teeth' ...... how are we supposed to deal with the fact we let our loved ones die alone, nobody holding their hand.... we let loved ones sink into a pit of despair from lack of human contact.....and all the time staff at Downing Street were enjoying 'drinks parties' in the gardens. My NHS family members were exhausted, they'd have refused any party invites in favour of a few hours uninterrupted sleep.....

Sorry, Maisie, I didn't see your thread when I posted mine. I did look, too - I can only blame decrepitude.

Cummings did warn that it wasn't a good idea to lie as the truth will always come out.

Pot, kettle, black?

See my slightly earlier thread on the same topic for a bit of detail

There will be pictures too, I think, before long.
I do feel for the queen, but no more than anyone else who was betrayed by Johnson et al.

not that I'm a fan of Lizzie but its a disgrace when she had to sit alone at her husbands funeral while Downing street all partied.Anyone who wants to defend them? Again.

The Telegraph is reporting that there were yet more parties held on the eve of Prince Philip's funeral.
