I loved the Ronettes. Hadn't known she'd been married to Phil, though his music is unforgettable too.

According to Keith Richards autobiography he treated her very badly. Keith was quite in love with her.

I love The Ronettes, when I was about 9 I wanted to be her, loved the hair, obviously that inspired Amy Winehouse too.

Phil Spector had considerable talent but sadly treated her appallingly. I was sad to read Ronnie Spector had died

The Ronettes - the sound of my teenage years. Be My Baby is one of those records that as soon as you hear the first drum beat you know what tune it is.

I remember back combing my hair when I was 11 or 12 so I'd look like a Ronette.
I think without their trailblazing, it would've been harder for subsequent girl groups like The Supremes.
