*Why* is the media hanging onto Cummings every word?

Just that really. Scummings is not to be trusted. Broke rules himself.

Why is he now heading the mob rule out to get Boris? Don't get me wrong, I think BJ is a t**t. But Cummings is just as bad, if not worse.

No political party has ever been without corruption! There never will be! Yes I hate the fact that it is always one law for us & another for them! Cummings is a little snidey lowlife trying very hard to get his own back! Boris is useless but did manage to scrape us through the pandemic. Who in the tories can take over? I cannot think of anyone! Labour have messed up big time over the last few years! Cannot see anyone there taking over & managing to do a better job! What do I know though I am nearing the end of my days just feel sorry for the mess my DGC are inheriting! With every thing else happening in the world now maybe a break from ‘he did, she said’ is in order! Can we just stop listening to Scummings drip feeding the press & Boris denying please & worry about the mess we are leaving for our children?

I don’t trust Johnson or Cummings.
Corbyn wasn’t popular with the majority. The media built on that.
Johnson has lied, broken his rules and guidelines. That’s lowered his popularity with the public. The media is building on that.

Johnson was voted in despite and because of lies. The country is out ofEurope but Brexit hasn’t been done. People recognised the maverick being but seem surprised he’s treating the country with the same disdain he’s treated wives, lovers, children

Cummings has refused to give verbal evidence to Sue Grey;s enquiry; will only submit written evidence; doesn't do a lot to enhance his already virtually non-existent credibility

MaggsMcG Tue 25-Jan-22 12:18:41

Because they don't like Boris and have forgotten the hoo har they all made when Cummings broke the Law. I don't trust any of them. Not from any Party.

greenlady102 Tue 25-Jan-22 12:12:38

why? for the same reason people watch soaps on TV

Grantanow Tue 25-Jan-22 12:08:30

The media's prime objective is to increase sales and audiences to bring in more subscriptions and advertising revenue (but exceptionally in the case of the BBC to discharge a public responsibility) so anything that helps do that is welcome - hence running Cummings stories. It doesn't matter to the press and broadcasters whether it"s true or not: it's whether it sells that counts. I hope ND does not kill the BBC. Hopefully she will be gone as soon as BJ goes.

Dillonsgranma Tue 25-Jan-22 12:05:47

Absolutely! If scummings was a woman he would be called a spiteful bitch!

Gagagran Tue 25-Jan-22 11:56:11

Our name for Cummings is Rasputin but I think I prefer Scummings. He is a hate-filled and hateful man in my view.

Supergran1946 Tue 25-Jan-22 11:53:49

Wouldn’t trust Cummings one bit

Oldbat1 Tue 25-Jan-22 11:43:05

I don’t like Cummings BUT love the fact he is dishing the dirt on the scumbag apology for a Prime Minister. I’m sure BJ doesn’t know what lying is as he has done so all his life. I cannot abide liars but Johnson just opens his mouth regardless of truth or lie.

kwest Tue 25-Jan-22 11:41:18

Cummings is a nasty piece of work.

lizzypopbottle Tue 25-Jan-22 11:40:05

Scandal sells papers. People (many of them, anyway) love bad news and shock horror. That's what makes Cummings's drip feed compelling... He needs to feel important, apparently, so he'll keep it coming.

Nannashirlz Tue 25-Jan-22 11:34:06

It’s amazing how scum media are listening to Cummins who wouldn’t know the truth if it was sat in front of him.

Blossoming Tue 25-Jan-22 11:24:59

It makes headlines. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Callistemon21 Tue 25-Jan-22 11:19:21

I thought that too. FannyCornforth
Weasels have had very bad press!

I expect someone will be along to defend snakes very shortly and tell us how sweet natured and cuddly they are.

Leonora2 Tue 25-Jan-22 11:18:34

ShazzaKanazza

I absolutely cannot stand this horrid little man lying through his teeth in the rose garden at no 10. Whenever we saw him on camera he was always skulking in corners on his phone. He’s like a snake, goodness knows why Boris stood by him as he did. No wonder he has very little credibility anymore. But that weasley little man needs to skulk right away. He’s out for revenge I’m sure of it. I think he’ll get his way soon.

I couldn't have put it better myself

FannyCornforth Tue 25-Jan-22 11:16:08

I think that this is all so unfair on weasels.
They are delightful little creatures

hazel93 Tue 25-Jan-22 11:14:45

In my view without the horror of Covid Johnson would already be out.
In his days as a journalist he was notorious as being a loose cannon, invariably slewing stories to his advantage. Even Max Hastings admitted he would not trust him an inch and you can't get more Tory than that !

Cossy Tue 25-Jan-22 11:12:09

I think Cummings is an absolute weasel, however, whilst I don’t think he is a person I would trust I do think he was party to a whole load of shenanigans inside number 10 and that he behaving a little like “a woman scorned” !

sazz1 Tue 25-Jan-22 11:10:57

The media sells papers and are probably paying C..tings for all his revelations very handsomely.
He's the biggest threat to our politics and the house of commons. I don't think it will end well for him or Boris.

Daisymae Tue 25-Jan-22 11:07:54

Because he's in the know, has connections and can wheel out evidence to back up his statements. You don't have to like him but he's determined to have his say.

FannyCornforth Tue 25-Jan-22 11:06:49

Twig thanks about your father

Larsonsmum Tue 25-Jan-22 11:06:23

I believe everything Cummings has to say. Remember that he revealed Johnston played a huge part in the decision for him and his family to take the trip north when they were under siege at their London home. So it was not at all 100% his decision.

So much that is very wrong has gone on at No 10, and we need to know about that, no matter who is delivering the details.

FannyCornforth Tue 25-Jan-22 11:05:57

Twig I agree with a lot of what you say.
I think that we are in danger of ‘party fatigue’.
I can’t imagine that this is the worst dirt that can be dished about Johnson.
If it goes on for much longer, everyone will get fed up with it all, and Johnson will get away with it. Again, just like he always does

Kali2 Tue 25-Jan-22 11:05:46

Ooops posts crossed TopsyIrene. so ust an excuse for more delays.
